Is it safe for young children to use spray paint?

Safety is our number one priority for primary school workshops in Bruges. We provide all necessary protective gear, including high-quality masks, gloves, and overalls to keep clothes clean. Our spray paints are low-odour and chosen for their safety profile. Every session is led by experienced professional artists who provide constant supervision, ensuring that the children use the tools correctly and safely while having an absolute blast expressing themselves.

Can primary school kids really create good graffiti?

Absolutely! We believe graffiti is for everyone. Our artists are skilled at adapting their teaching style for younger ages, focusing on larger shapes and simpler techniques that provide instant gratification. We use manageable spray cans that are easier for smaller hands to operate. The goal is to build confidence and show the children that they can create something impressive, regardless of their prior artistic experience or fine motor skills.

How long does a typical school session last?

The standard workshop duration for primary schools is usually between 90 minutes and 2 hours. This timeframe is perfect for keeping young students engaged without them losing focus. It allows enough time for a brief history of street art, a safety demonstration, practice sessions, and the final creation of their own masterpiece. We can also adjust the timing to fit into your specific school timetable if needed.

Where in Bruges do the workshops take place?

We are fully mobile and usually come to your school in Bruges to host the workshop on-site. We can set up our mobile graffiti walls in the playground or a well-ventilated indoor hall. If your school doesn't have a suitable space, we can look into local legal graffiti zones or partner locations nearby. Most schools prefer the convenience of staying on their own grounds to save on transport costs.

What materials do we need to provide?

We provide everything needed for a successful day of street art. This includes all the spray paint in a vibrant range of colours, protective masks, disposable gloves, and full-body overalls. We also bring the mobile canvases or boards that the children will paint on. You don't need to worry about any supplies; just ensure the students are dressed in clothes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on.

How do you handle different skill levels or special needs?

Our workshops are designed to be inclusive and accessible. We focus on the joy of creation rather than technical perfection. For students with specific needs, we can adapt our methods, such as using alternative painting tools or providing extra one-on-one support. Graffiti is a very tactile and visual medium, making it an excellent choice for children who might struggle with more traditional, rigid classroom art projects.

Do we need to pay in advance?

One of the best things about our service is our 'no cure, no pay' philosophy. You don't have to pay anything upfront when you book. We believe in the quality of our workshops so much that you only pay after the event has been successfully completed. This provides peace of mind for school administrators and ensures that you are 100% happy with the experience we've delivered to your pupils.

Choosing a graffiti workshop for your primary school gives students a unique outlet for their energy and imagination. Here’s why schools in Bruges love our programme:

Boosts confidence: Seeing a large-scale piece of art come to life builds immense pride in young learners.
Encourages teamwork: Working on a collaborative mural teaches kids how to communicate and share a creative space.
Professional guidance: Our artists aren't just talented; they are experienced in engaging with primary-aged children.
Safe environment: We provide top-tier safety gear and use paints that are suitable for younger students.
No-risk booking: With our "payment after the event" policy and backup artists, your school event is in safe hands.
Curriculum links: Our sessions can easily link to topics like modern history, urban geography, or traditional Art & Design.

Стъпка по стъпка

Introduction and history: We kick things off with a kid-friendly chat about the history of street art and how it evolved from tags to huge murals.
Safety briefing: Pupils get fitted with their protective gear while we explain the golden rules of using spray cans safely and responsibly.
The first spray: Under close supervision, children learn how to hold the can and make their first lines and dots on the practice wall.
Sketching the design: We help the group brainstorm a theme or a name and sketch out the basic shapes of their collective masterpiece.
Filling in colours: This is where the magic happens! The kids learn how to fill in large areas and blend different vibrant colours together.
Adding the outlines: Our professional artists guide the students in adding sharp outlines to make their artwork pop and look professional.
Final highlights: We add those "shiny" bits and finishing touches that turn a good painting into a great piece of street art.
Group photo and cleanup: We celebrate the achievement with a group photo in front of the art before we pack up all our materials and leave the site spotless.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Местна култура

Bruges might be famous for its medieval belfry and winding canals, but there is a thriving modern art scene hidden just beneath the surface. From the legal graffiti walls at the Katelijnepark to the occasional urban art exhibitions, the city is a perfect backdrop for introducing young minds to contemporary styles. Our workshops bridge the gap between "The Venice of the North's" historic heritage and the modern-day expression of its youth. We love bringing this edgy, colourful art form to a city so steeped in tradition, showing students that even in a UNESCO World Heritage site, there is plenty of room for new voices and bold colours. Our trainers often draw inspiration from local legends and the iconic Bruges skyline to help kids connect their art to their beautiful home city.

Ценообразуване

Our primary school workshops in Bruges are competitively priced to ensure as many children as possible can experience the joy of street art. Prices generally range between €25 and €55 per pupil.

The final cost depends on the number of participants, the duration of the workshop, and the specific materials required for your project. Because every school's needs are different, we recommend getting in touch for a tailored experience.
