Is the graffiti workshop safe for secondary school students?

Absolutely! Safety is our top priority for every secondary school session in Murcia. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, disposable gloves, and protective overalls for every student. Our professional artists lead with a comprehensive safety briefing, ensuring everyone knows how to handle the spray cans correctly. We almost always work outdoors or in very well-ventilated spaces to ensure a healthy environment for your pupils to explore their creativity safely and responsibly.

How long does a typical workshop last?

Our standard secondary school workshops in Murcia typically last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This timeframe is perfect for diving into the history of street art, practicing basic can control, and completing a final collaborative masterpiece. If you have specific curriculum needs or a tighter school timetable, we are happy to adjust the duration to fit your schedule perfectly. Just let us know your requirements when booking!

Do the students need any prior artistic experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from total beginners to budding young artists. Our expert instructors break down the process into easy-to-follow steps, starting with basic lines and moving to more complex shading and 3D effects. We focus on the 'fun' element, ensuring every student feels a sense of achievement when they see their contribution to the final mural. It's about expression, not just perfection.

What materials are included in the workshop package?

We provide everything needed for a complete street art experience. This includes a wide array of professional spray paint colours, protective gear (masks, gloves, suits), and the 'canvas'—which could be professional-grade boards, a plastic wrap wall (cellograff), or even a legal school wall if you have one available. You don't need to worry about a thing; our team arrives fully equipped and ready to transform your school space into a creative hub.

Where in Murcia does the workshop take place?

We are very flexible with locations! We can bring the workshop directly to your school grounds in Murcia, setting up in a playground, sports court, or any well-ventilated outdoor area. Alternatively, we can sometimes arrange for sessions at local legal graffiti walls if you'd like the students to experience the authentic street art environment. If it rains, we can use 'cellograff' techniques (industrial plastic wrap) in large indoor halls with proper ventilation.

What are the educational benefits of a graffiti workshop?

Street art is a fantastic tool for secondary education. It encourages teamwork, boosts self-esteem through creative expression, and introduces students to a modern art form they genuinely relate to. We can even tailor the theme of the workshop to align with specific school subjects like history, social issues, or literature. It’s a hands-on, memorable way to engage students who might struggle with traditional classroom-based art lessons.

How do we handle the booking and payment process?

Booking is simple and stress-free for teachers. Use our online cost calculator to get an initial estimate, then reach out to us for a formal quote. Since we don't require upfront payments and have backup artists ready to go, you can book with total confidence. We’ll handle the logistics, risk assessments, and material setup so you can focus on watching your students flourish in this unique creative setting.

Trin for trin

Intro & inspiration: We start with a high-energy intro about street art history and Murcia's local scene.
Safety first: Every student gets geared up with masks, gloves, and suits while we explain the golden rules of the can.
Sketching the vision: Students grab paper and markers to draft their tags and practice letter structures.
First lines: Moving to the 'wall', we teach basic techniques—how to hold the can, nozzle pressure, and making clean lines.
Filling & fades: The fun part! Students learn how to blend colours and fill in their designs without drips.
Outline & highlights: We show them how to make their art pop using sharp outlines and 'force fields'.
The masterclass: Our professional artist adds those final 'pro' touches to the collaborative mural.
The big reveal: We step back for a group photo and a critique session where students reflect on their work.
Clean up: We leave the site spotless, taking all empty cans and waste with us.

Lokal kultur

Murcia is a city that breathes culture, and its street art scene is no exception. From the stunning murals in the Barrio del Carmen to the hidden gems along the Segura river, the city provides an incredible backdrop for young artists to find inspiration. Murcia’s vibe is a unique blend of traditional Spanish charm and modern, edgy creativity, making it the perfect place for a secondary school workshop. We love tapping into this local energy, showing students how their city’s walls tell stories of identity and community. 🇪🇸

Fun fact: Murcia is home to some world-class street art festivals, and some of the large-scale murals in the region were created by artists who started exactly where your students are—experimenting with their first tags!
