Is the graffiti workshop safe for individuals with special needs?

Absolutely! We use high-quality, water-based spray paint options and provide comprehensive protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls. Our professional artists are trained to manage groups with diverse needs, ensuring everyone stays safe while having a blast. We tailor the pace of the workshop to the comfort levels of the participants, making sure the environment remains calm, controlled, and creative at all times.

Can the workshop be adapted for different disabilities?

Yes, we pride ourselves on being fully inclusive. Whether participants have physical disabilities or neurodivergent traits like autism or ADHD, we adapt our teaching style. For those with limited mobility, we can set up canvases at accessible heights or use alternative application tools. We focus on what every individual *can* do, ensuring they feel empowered and successful in creating their own unique piece of street art.

Do we need to travel to a specific studio in Ghent?

We are incredibly flexible with locations in Ghent. We can host the session at one of our vibrant local street art spots, or we can bring the entire setup to your facility, school, or community centre. If we come to you, we use protective floor coverings and temporary wooden walls or canvases to ensure your venue stays clean while the creativity flows freely.

How long does a special needs graffiti session last?

A standard session usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. However, we know that some groups might need more frequent breaks or a shorter, high-energy burst of activity. We are more than happy to adjust the duration to fit the concentration levels and physical requirements of your specific group. Just let us know your preferences during the booking process!

Do participants need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our artist-mentors guide everyone through the process step-by-step, starting with simple shapes and lines. We provide 'mural starters' and stencils for those who might find a blank canvas intimidating. The goal is self-expression and sensory fun, rather than technical perfection, so everyone leaves feeling like a pro.

What is the ideal group size for this programme?

We recommend a minimum of 5-8 participants to create a great group dynamic, but we can cater to much larger groups as well. For special needs programmes, we often suggest a higher ratio of our artists to participants to ensure everyone gets the dedicated attention they deserve. If you have a very small or very large group, just reach out for a custom arrangement.

Are materials like paint and masks included in the price?

Our pricing is all-inclusive! The quote you receive covers the professional artist-educators, all premium spray paints, canvases or boards, protective clothing (masks, gloves, overalls), and the setup/cleanup. There are no hidden fees. Plus, with our 'pay after' policy, you can book with total peace of mind knowing you only pay once the creative magic has happened.

Lokal kultur

Ghent is a city that breathes art, famously known for the 'Werregarenstraatje' (Graffiti Alley), where the walls are a constantly evolving canvas. Our special needs programmes tap into this local 'Gentse' spirit of rebellion and beauty, making art accessible beyond the traditional gallery walls. We often draw inspiration from local legends and the city's quirky character to help participants connect with their surroundings.

Fun Fact: Ghent is home to one of the world's most famous paintings, the 'Adoration of the Mystic Lamb', but it also boasts some of Europe’s most impressive modern murals by artists like ROA. We love showing our participants that they are part of this grand artistic lineage! 🎨

Priser

Our workshop prices in Ghent are designed to be as inclusive as our art. Costs typically range from €25 to €55 per person, depending on the group size, duration, and specific support requirements.

We believe in total transparency and flexibility. That’s why we offer a 'pay after' service—no deposit is required to secure your date. We want you to be 100% satisfied with the experience!
