Where We Hold Workshops in Cajamarca
Our graffiti and street art workshops in Cajamarca are typically held in accessible areas that offer space for creative activity. We can arrange sessions in the vicinity of the city centre, making it convenient for groups staying near the Plaza de Armas or the iconic Santa Apolonia hill. These central locations provide easy access to the city's main attractions before or after your workshop.
For groups based slightly further afield, we can consider locations in districts such as Baños del Inca, known for its thermal baths, or the more residential areas surrounding the city, depending on the specific requirements and available suitable venues. We focus on finding spaces that are safe, practical, and conducive to a productive and enjoyable artistic experience for all participants.

Travelling to Your Cajamarca Workshop
Cajamarca is well-connected within Peru, primarily by road and air. Most visitors arrive by bus from coastal cities like Trujillo or Chiclayo, or from the capital, Lima. The main bus terminal, Terminal Terrestre, is located to the north of the city centre and is a central hub for regional and national routes. From there, local taxis or mototaxis can easily transport groups to their workshop location or accommodation.
For those flying, Cajamarca's Aeropuerto Mayor General FAP Armando Revoredo Iglesias (CJA) offers domestic flights, mainly from Lima. The airport is situated a short distance from the city centre, and taxis are readily available. If travelling by car, the main access road is the PE-08, which connects Cajamarca to the Pan-American Highway. Parking in the city centre can be limited, so for larger groups arriving by coach, we advise coordinating drop-off points with us in advance.
Lokal kultur
Street Art and Murals in Cajamarca
While Cajamarca is primarily known for its rich history and colonial architecture, rather than a prominent street art scene, there are increasing signs of creative expression appearing in public spaces. You might occasionally spot murals or smaller pieces of graffiti, often reflecting local culture, social commentary, or artistic statements by Peruvian artists. These are typically found in more residential areas or on walls that have been granted permission for artistic embellishment.
The city's vibrant cultural life, however, provides fertile ground for artistic exploration. Its art schools and cultural centres contribute to a growing appreciation for diverse art forms, including contemporary street art. Our workshops offer an opportunity to introduce this dynamic art form to the city and its visitors, allowing participants to create their own vibrant contributions within a guided and legal setting.
