Is the spray paint safe for participants with sensitivities?

Absolutely! We use high-quality, low-odour water-based spray paint for our Funchal special needs sessions wherever possible. We also provide full protective gear, including masks, gloves, and ponchos. Our artists are trained to maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring that the focus remains entirely on the creative joy of painting without any safety concerns.

Can you host the workshop at our specific location in Funchal?

We are incredibly flexible. Our Funchal graffiti workshops can be hosted at our specialized local street art spots, or we can bring the entire mobile studio to your facility, care home, or school. We just need a well-ventilated space or an outdoor area. This helps keep the participants in a familiar, comfortable environment if they prefer not to travel.

How do you adapt the workshop for different ability levels?

Our workshops are designed to be inclusive for everyone. Whether a participant has limited mobility, sensory processing needs, or learning disabilities, our artists adapt their teaching style. We use larger nozzles for easier spraying and provide stencils for those who might struggle with fine motor skills. Everyone leaves with a sense of pride in what they've created.

How long does a typical workshop last?

Our standard special needs sessions in Madeira usually run between 1.5 and 2 hours. However, we know that attention spans and energy levels vary. We work at the pace of the group, taking breaks whenever needed. We don't rush the process; the goal is a relaxed, fun atmosphere where everyone feels successful.

What happens if the weather in Funchal is bad on the day?

Weather in Funchal is usually lovely, but we always have a plan B. If we are outdoors and it rains, we can move to a covered area or use professional pop-up tents. Alternatively, we can reschedule or move the workshop indoors using our specialized indoor-safe materials. We ensure your event happens no matter what the Atlantic weather throws at us!

Do participants need any prior artistic experience?

Not at all! We love working with beginners. In fact, most of our participants have never touched a spray can before. Our Funchal artists guide the group through every step, from making the first dot to finishing a colourful masterpiece. It’s all about the experience and the "wow" factor of seeing bright colours appear on the wall.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Τοπική κουλτούρα

Funchal is a city that breathes art, from the famous painted doors of Rua de Santa Maria to the vibrant flower festivals that coat the streets in colour. Our special needs graffiti workshops embrace this Madeiran spirit of "Art of Open Doors." We bring the urban energy of the city's street art scene to a controlled, safe, and accessible format. Being on an island inspires a unique creative perspective, and we often see the blues of the Atlantic and the greens of the Monte hills reflected in the artworks created by our participants. 🎨

Fun fact: Did you know Funchal's "Projecto Portas Pintadas" turned a run-down area into a permanent outdoor art gallery? Our workshops aim to give your group that same feeling of transforming their environment through creativity!
