How long does a typical youth graffiti workshop last?

Our graffiti youth projects in Brussels usually take between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. This timeframe allows enough room for a solid introduction to the history of street art, a safety briefing, some practice runs on plastic foil or practice walls, and then the final creation of their individual or group masterpiece. We find this duration keeps energy levels high and focus sharp without the participants getting tired.

Is it safe for young people to work with spray paint?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep everyone safe and clean. Our instructors are professional artists who have years of experience working with young people, ensuring that the spray cans are used responsibly. We also use low-pressure cans when working with beginners to make the control much easier and safer.

What should the participants wear to the workshop?

While we provide protective overalls, we always recommend that participants wear 'old clothes' and sturdy shoes. Spray paint is permanent, and while we take every precaution, a little stray mist can sometimes find its way onto a sleeve or a shoe. Since we are in Brussels, it's also worth bringing a jumper if we are working in an outdoor or semi-covered space.

Do the teenagers need to have any prior drawing skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels. Most of the young people we work with have never touched a spray can before. Our artists are experts at breaking down complex techniques into simple, manageable steps. We focus on boostng confidence and showing participants that anyone can create something amazing with the right guidance and a bit of imagination.

Where in Brussels do these youth projects take place?

We are very flexible! We can host the workshop at one of our dedicated legal graffiti zones in Brussels, or if you have a suitable outdoor space or a well-ventilated indoor area at your youth centre, we can come to you. We use mobile walls or special canvases to ensure we don't leave any permanent marks where they aren't wanted. It's street art brought to your doorstep!

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

Brussels weather can be unpredictable, but we always have a plan B. If we have scheduled an outdoor session and it looks like rain, we can often move to a covered location or provide a pop-up tent. Alternatively, we can use our backup artists to reschedule for a clearer day. We’ll work closely with you to ensure the project goes ahead regardless of the Belgian drizzle.

How do we get a price estimate for our specific group?

Getting a quote is super easy! Prices typically range from €25 to €55 per person, but this depends heavily on the size of your group and the specific goals of your project. Simply use our online Cost Calculator or send us a quick message with your group details, and we’ll get back to you with a transparent, no-obligation quote tailored to your Brussels youth group.

Paikallinen kulttuuri

Brussels isn't just the heart of Europe; it's a living gallery of urban culture. From the famous comic strip walls to the hidden gems in the Saint-Gilles district, street art is baked into the city's DNA. Our workshops pay homage to this local heritage, often drawing inspiration from the legendary artists who have left their mark on the Brussels landscape. We love connecting young locals with the artistic heartbeat of their own city.

Fun Fact: Did you know Brussels has a dedicated 'Street Art Trail' featuring over 50 massive murals? We often use these local landmarks as inspiration for our youth projects to show them what's possible! 🇧🇪
