Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Most university students who join our Bristol workshops have never held a spray can before. Our professional artists are there to guide you through every stage, from basic handling and safety to advanced layering and shading. We provide a supportive environment where experimentation is encouraged and 'mistakes' often turn into the best parts of the art.

What materials are included in the university workshop?

We provide everything you need to get creative. This includes high-quality spray paint in a massive range of colours, professional protective masks, disposable gloves, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. We also provide the canvases or boards you'll be working on. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes and shoes you don't mind getting a bit of paint on.

How long does a typical graffiti session last?

A standard university workshop in Bristol usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a thorough safety briefing, a demonstration of techniques, practice time, and the creation of your final masterpiece. If you have specific scheduling needs for a society event or faculty day, we can adapt the duration to fit your timetable.

Is the workshop safe for large groups of students?

Safety is our top priority. We use low-pressure spray cans which are easier to control and provide high-quality FFP2 or FFP3 masks to ensure no one inhales fumes. Workshops are ideally held in well-ventilated outdoor areas or dedicated legal graffiti spots around Bristol. Our instructors are also fully trained in site safety and group management.

Can we create a large collaborative mural together?

Yes! We love it when student groups want to work on a shared vision. We can set up large-scale mural walls where everyone contributes to a single, massive piece of art. This is a fantastic way to build teamwork within a society or sports team, and it leaves you with a stunning visual legacy of your event.

How does the payment process work for university societies?

We believe in a stress-free booking process for students and faculty. You don't need to pay anything upfront to secure your date. Once the workshop is completed and you're 100% happy with the experience, we’ll handle the payment via invoice or direct transfer. This makes it much easier to manage society budgets and university approvals.

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next university event? It’s more than just painting; it’s a chance to disconnect from the digital world and create something physical. Here’s why it works:

Total stress relief: Nothing beats the tactile satisfaction of spray painting to clear your head after a week of lectures.
Inclusive for everyone: You don't need to be an 'art student' to be good at this—it's about energy and expression.
Build a stronger community: Societies and clubs bond better when they're collaborating on a vibrant piece of art.
Authentic Bristol experience: Deepen your connection to the city's famous street art culture.
Professional guidance: Our artists are the real deal, ensuring you get amazing results and stay safe.
Flexible and mobile: We can bring the workshop to your campus or find a stunning outdoor spot in the city.

Intro and safety: We kick things off with a quick brief on how to use the equipment safely and how to handle the spray cans for the best results.
The artist's demo: Our pro artists show you the ropes, demonstrating lines, fades, and those essential 'can control' tricks.
Sketching your ideas: Grab a pen and paper to rough out your design. Think about your tag, a character, or a message you want to shout about.
First lines: Head to the wall or canvas and start mapping out your piece with light 'ghost' lines to get the proportions right.
Filling in: This is where the colour comes in! Learn how to fill large areas smoothly and how to blend different shades for a 3D effect.
The outline: Use a high-contrast colour (usually black or white) to snap the whole design together and make it pop.
Highlights and details: Add those final touches—shines, drips, or extra flourishes—that make your artwork unique.
Group photo and cleanup: We wrap up with a massive group photo of you and your builds before clearing the site of all materials.
