Do I need to be good at drawing to join?

You don't need any prior artistic experience or 'talent' to join our Amsterdam graffiti workshop. Our professional artists are experts at breaking down complex techniques into simple, manageable steps. We start with the basics of can control and safety, ensuring everyone feels comfortable before we move on to the creative part. Most of our participants haven't touched a spray can since childhood, yet they always leave with a piece they are proud of.

What materials are included in the workshop?

We provide everything you need for a complete street art experience. This includes professional-grade spray paint in a wide variety of colours, high-quality caps (nozzles), protective overalls, gloves, and respiratory masks. We also provide the canvases or practice walls and, of course, the expert guidance of a local Amsterdam artist. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on!

Is the spray paint safe to use?

The safety of our participants is our absolute priority. We provide high-quality FFP2 or FFP3 masks to protect against fumes, along with gloves and protective suits. Our workshops take place in well-ventilated outdoor areas or legal street art zones in Amsterdam. Our artists are trained in safety protocols and will supervise the group throughout the entire session to ensure the equipment is used correctly and responsibly.

How long does the workshop session last?

Standard graffiti workshops in Amsterdam typically last between 1.5 and 2 hours. This provides enough time for a solid introduction, some practice drills, and the creation of your final masterpiece. If you are looking for a more intensive experience or have a very large group, we can extend the session to 3 hours. We always tailor the pace to the energy of your specific group.

What happens if it rains on the day?

Amsterdam weather can be unpredictable, but we've got you covered. In the event of heavy rain, we often have access to sheltered outdoor spots or indoor creative spaces. If the weather makes it impossible to continue safely, we can reschedule the session. Because we have a large team of backup artists, we are very flexible with timing and rarely have to cancel an event entirely.

What is the maximum group size?

Our Amsterdam workshops are highly flexible. We can accommodate small groups of friends (minimum 5-10 people usually) up to large corporate groups of 100+ participants. For larger groups, we simply bring in more professional artists to ensure everyone gets personal attention and guidance. If you have a massive event in mind, just let us know and we will scale the setup accordingly.

Do I need to pay in advance?

At Graffitifun, we believe in trust and transparency. You don't need to pay anything upfront when you book your workshop. We want you to be 100% satisfied with the experience first. Payment is handled after the workshop is completed. This ensures a stress-free booking process and gives you the peace of mind that you're getting exactly what you signed up for in the heart of Amsterdam.

Helyi kultúra

Amsterdam has a rich history of graffiti dating back to the 1970s and 80s, evolving from rebellious tags to world-class murals. Today, the city is a canvas of incredible diversity, from the massive urban gallery at the NDSM Wharf to the hidden gems in the Jordaan. Our workshops tap into this local energy, often taking place near legendary spots like the Flevopark or NDSM, where the air is thick with creativity.

We celebrate the "Amsterdam style"—which is bold, colourful, and constantly evolving. By joining us, you aren't just watching the culture; you're becoming a part of the city's living, breathing art history. It's a fantastic way to bond with the local community and see a side of the capital that most tourists miss.
