Is the graffiti workshop safe for secondary school students?

Absolutely! We provide high-quality masks, gloves, and protective suits for every student. Our professional artists also give a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a spray can. We use low-solvent paints whenever possible and ensure the workshop takes place in a well-ventilated area or outdoors to keep everyone breathing easy while they create their masterpieces.

How long does a typical workshop last?

A standard secondary school workshop in Charleroi usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for the intro, sketching, and the actual painting. We can also adapt the session to fit your school's specific timetable, whether that's a double period or a full-day creative immersion. We're flexible to make it work for your schedule!

Do students need any prior drawing or painting experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels. Our artists guide the students through the basics—from holding the can to creating professional-looking effects. You'd be surprised at the incredible art students produce even if they've never picked up a spray can before. It's all about discovering hidden talents and having a blast!

Where does the workshop take place?

We can bring the street art vibe right to your school grounds! We use mobile plastic walls or large canvases that can be set up in the playground or a well-ventilated hall. If you'd rather take the students on a trip, we can also arrange sessions at legal graffiti zones in Charleroi. We handle all the setup and cleanup, so you don't have to worry.

What materials are included in the price?

We've got you covered! We provide everything: premium spray cans in a rainbow of colours, caps, protective gear, and the surfaces to paint on. We even bring sketches and inspiration boards. The only thing the students need to bring is their enthusiasm and perhaps some old clothes, just in case they get a little too 'artistic' with the paint!

What are the educational benefits of a graffiti workshop?

Graffiti is a fantastic tool for team building, boosting self-confidence, and encouraging creative thinking. It allows students who might struggle with traditional academic subjects to shine in a different medium. Plus, it teaches them about the history of street art and the importance of legal, respectful expression. It’s a memorable experience that builds a positive school culture.

Can you accommodate large groups or entire year levels?

While we recommend groups of 15-25 per artist to ensure everyone gets enough individual attention, we can accommodate entire year groups by bringing in multiple artists and setting up several stations. We’re experts at managing large school events and ensuring every single student gets a chance to make their mark on the final project.

Opplevelsen

Why choose a Graffitifun workshop for your school? Because we turn a regular school day into an extraordinary adventure that students will talk about for years. Here’s why we’re the top choice in Charleroi:

Total creative freedom: Students learn to express themselves in a way that traditional art classes rarely allow. 🎤
Professional street artists: Your students will be taught by active artists who live and breathe the culture. 🔥
Teamwork & bonding: Nothing brings a class together like collaborating on a massive, vibrant mural. 🏆
Zero stress for teachers: We handle everything—from setup and safety to the final cleanup. You just enjoy the show! 💪
Builds confidence: Seeing a giant piece of art they created themselves gives students a massive boost in self-esteem. 🚀

Steg for steg

Introduction & culture: We start with a high-energy intro about the history of graffiti and the difference between tagging and street art.
Safety first: Every student gets kitted out in protective gear and learns the essential 'dos and don'ts' of using spray cans safely.
The basics: Our pros demonstrate fundamental techniques, like how to control pressure, create clean lines, and fill in shapes.
Sketching ideas: Students grab markers and paper to plan their designs, focusing on 'tags', 'throw-ups', or stylized characters.
Practice run: Time to feel the pressure! Students practice their first lines on a test surface to get a feel for the spray can.
The main creation: The real fun begins as students start their large-scale pieces on the mobile walls or canvases.
Adding detail: We teach advanced tricks like shadowing, highlights, and outlines to make the artwork really 'pop'.
Group photo & wrap-up: We celebrate the finished masterpieces with a group photoshoot—perfect for the school's social media or newsletter!
Clean up: Our team handles all the tidy-up, leaving your school grounds exactly as we found them (except for the amazing new art).

Greit å vite

Duration: Typically 1.5 to 3 hours, but we can customise the timing to fit your school's timetable perfectly.
Group size: We cater to small groups and entire year levels. We recommend 1 artist per 20 students for the best experience.
What’s included: Professional artists, all spray cans (wide range of colours), caps, masks, gloves, protective suits, and the painting surface.
Location: At your school (outdoor playground or ventilated hall) or at a legal graffiti wall in Charleroi.
Weather: We have backup plans! For outdoor sessions, we can provide tents or move the workshop to a ventilated indoor area if the rain hits.

Lokal kultur

Charleroi has undergone a stunning transformation, turning its industrial heritage into a canvas for world-class street art. From the famous 'Urban Dream' route to the murals lining the Sambre, the city is a living gallery! Our workshops tap into this local spirit, encouraging students to contribute to the creative rebirth of their city. 🎨

Fun Fact: Charleroi is often called the "street art capital" of Wallonia. The city even hosts the biennial 'Urban Dream' festival, which has attracted artists from all over the world to paint its massive industrial chimneys and walls!

By bringing a workshop to your school, you're connecting your students with a movement that is deeply rooted in Charleroi’s modern identity. We love helping the next generation of Carolos find their voice through the same medium that has revitalised their hometown. ✨
