How long does the graffiti workshop usually last?

Our school holiday workshops in Viseu typically last between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. This gives the kids plenty of time to learn the basic strokes, practice their 'tagging' style, and complete a final masterpiece on a canvas or wall. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for keeping energy levels high and focus sharp without anyone getting tired fans!

Is the spray paint safe for children to use?

Safety is our top priority! We provide high-quality FFP2 resonance masks to ensure no one breathes in fumes, along with protective overalls and gloves to keep clothes clean. Our spray paints are water-based or low-solvent where possible, and our professional artists supervise every single spray to make sure the environment remains fun and safe for all ages.

Do the kids need any previous art experience?

Not at all! Our Viseu workshops are designed for absolute beginners. We start with the very basics—how to hold the can, how to control the pressure, and how to make a clean line. Our artists are great at coaching kids who think they 'can't draw,' helping them realise that graffiti is more about flow and confidence than traditional sketching.

What should the participants wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing old clothes and comfortable trainers. Even though we provide protective suits, graffiti can be a bit messy, and paint sometimes finds its way onto shoes or sleeves! It’s best to dress in layers so the kids stay comfortable while they are moving around and getting creative with their spray cans.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

If the workshop is held at one of our outdoor locations and it starts raining, we usually move to a covered area or use a backup indoor space. We monitor the weather closely in Viseu and will always communicate with you ahead of time if we need to adjust the location to ensure the holiday fun doesn't get washed out!

Can the kids take their artwork home with them?

Absolutely! One of the best parts of our Viseu school holiday program is that every participant gets to take home their own custom-made canvas. It’s a fantastic souvenir of their creative break and something they can proudly hang on their bedroom wall to show off their new street art skills to friends and family.

Stap voor stap

The safety briefing: We kick things off by getting everyone suited up in protective gear and explaining how to use the equipment safely.
Mastering the can: Participants learn the 'anatomy' of a spray can and practice basic lines, dots, and fades on practice boards.
Sketching the concept: Under the guidance of our pros, the kids sketch out their ideas, focusing on bold letters and 'wildstyle' elements.
Outline and fill: Time to hit the canvas! We guide them through the process of outlining their design and filling it with vibrant, popping colours.
Adding shadows and highlights: This is where the magic happens—learning how to make letters look 3D using shadows and 'force fields.'
The final clean-up: We show them how to use a 'skinny cap' to add those sharp, professional final touches to their artwork.
Photo session: We wrap up by taking group photos with the finished masterpieces—the perfect holiday memory!
