Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Most university students and staff who join us in Aveiro have never held a spray can before. Our professional artists break down the process into easy-to-follow steps, starting with basic lines and progresses to shading and 3D effects. We provide a safe, encouraging environment where mistakes are just part of the creative process. You'll be amazed at what you can create by the end of the session.

How do you handle safety during the workshop?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality FFP2 or FFP3 masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep your clothes clean. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially designated legal graffiti zones. Our instructors are experienced professionals who provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a spray can, ensuring a fun and risk-free environment for all participants.

Where in Aveiro do the workshops take place?

We are extremely flexible! Whether you want to host the workshop on your university campus (with proper permissions) or at one of Aveiro's legal street art walls, we can make it happen. If you don't have a specific location in mind, our local team knows the best spots in the city where we can paint legally and comfortably. We bring all the necessary equipment to your chosen site.

How long does a typical session last?

Standard university workshops typically last between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. This timeframe allows for a full introduction, practice time, and the creation of a collective mural or individual pieces. If you're looking for a more intensive masterclass or a quick session during a student festival, we can adjust the duration to fit your schedule. Just let us know your requirements when booking!

What is the maximum group size for a university workshop?

We can accommodate everything from small student committees of 10 people to large-scale university events with over 100 participants. For larger groups, we bring in additional professional artists (we always have backup artists on standby!) to ensure everyone gets a high level of personal guidance. No matter the size of your class or society, we have the logistical capacity to handle it.

What kind of spray paint do you use?

We use high-quality, professional-grade spray paint that is designed for street art. This paint is vibrant, weather-resistant, and quick-drying, which is perfect for university projects. We also provide various 'caps' or nozzles that allow for different line widths. All materials, including the paint, safety gear, and surfaces to paint on, are included in the price per person.

How does the booking and payment process work?

Booking is simple and risk-free with Graffitifun. You don't need to pay anything upfront; payment is only required after the workshop is successfully completed. Simply contact us with your preferred date, estimated group size, and location in Aveiro. We'll send you a custom quote, and once confirmed, we'll handle the rest, including ensuring an artist is booked and ready for your session.
