What is the minimum age for a graffiti party in Utrecht?

The recommended minimum age for our graffiti birthday parties is 6 years old. We use specialised low-pressure spray cans that are easier for smaller hands to handle, and our artists provide extra guidance to ensure everyone feels confident. It’s a fantastic way for kids to develop motor skills and creative thinking while having the time of their lives in a safe, supervised environment.

Do the children need any prior drawing or painting experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from total beginners to budding young Picassos. Our professional artists lead the group through every step, starting with basic lines and moving up to cool effects. Most kids are actually surprised by how great their artwork looks by the end of the session. It's all about having fun and being creative!

What should the kids wear to the workshop?

We provide high-quality protective overalls, gloves, and shoe covers to keep everyone’s clothes clean. However, graffiti can sometimes be a bit unpredictable, so we always recommend that the kids wear 'play clothes' and old trainers just in case. It’s much more fun to paint when you aren't worried about a tiny speck of dust or paint on your brand-new shoes!

Is the spray paint safe for children to use?

Safety is our absolute priority. We use high-quality spray paint and provide all necessary protective gear, including masks if requested. The workshops usually take place in well-ventilated areas or outdoors at designated legal graffiti zones in Utrecht. Our artists are highly experienced in managing groups of children and ensure that all equipment is used correctly and safely throughout the entire event.

When and how do I need to pay for the birthday party?

At Graffitifun, we believe in flexibility. While you can book your date in advance to secure your spot, there is no upfront payment required. You simply pay after the workshop is completed and you're 100% satisfied with the experience. This takes the stress out of planning and ensures you only pay for an event that truly delivers on its promises!

How long does a typical graffiti birthday party last?

Our standard kids' birthday parties in Utrecht typically last between 1.5 to 2 hours. This provides the perfect balance of learning, creating, and socialising without the children losing focus. We can often adjust the duration based on your specific needs or group size. Just let us know what you have in mind and we will make it work!

What happens if it rains on the day of the party?

Rain won't stop the creativity! We have access to several indoor and sheltered locations across Utrecht that are perfect for graffiti workshops. If the weather looks bad, we can easily move the party to one of our backup spots. We also have a pool of backup artists available, so you never have to worry about a cancellation on our end. Your party is guaranteed!

Lokalna kultura

Utrecht is a city that breathes creativity, from the hidden street art gems in the Hoograven district to the iconic legal walls at De Berenkuil (just a short hop away). Our workshops tap into this local urban culture, giving kids a taste of the same artistic freedom that defines Utrecht’s vibrant underground scene. We often host our sessions at inspiring local spots that reflect the city’s mix of historic charm and modern edge. 🎨

Fun Fact: Utrecht is home to the world-famous "De Stijl" movement influence, but did you know it also has some of the tallest street art murals in the Netherlands? We love showing kids how they fit into this long tradition of Dutch visual art!
