Does this program actually help prevent vandalism?

Absolutely! Our anti-vandalism workshop in Dusseldorf focuses on 'legal' graffiti. We teach participants the difference between damaging property and creating art on designated walls. By providing a creative outlet and teaching the rules of the street art community, we help reduce illegal tagging while fostering a genuine appreciation for urban aesthetics and community respect.

Do we need any previous art skills to participate?

No prior experience is needed at all! Our professional artists specialize in teaching beginners. We start with the basics—how to hold a spray can, pressure control, and simple lines—before moving on to more complex designs. You'll be surprised at how quickly you can create something impressive under our guidance. We make sure everyone feels confident and creative.

What safety measures do you have in place?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality FFP3 masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep your clothes clean and your lungs safe. All our spray paints are professional-grade but used in well-ventilated outdoor areas. Our instructors provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring a worry-free environment for all ages.

How long does the graffiti experience last?

The workshop typically lasts between 1.5 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for the introduction, safety briefing, technique practice, and the final creation of your masterpiece. We can adjust the duration based on your group's specific needs or schedule. It’s a fast-paced, high-energy session that keeps everyone engaged from start to finish!

What should we wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and old shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on. While we provide full-body protective suits, sometimes a stray mist of paint can find its way onto footwear. Other than that, just bring your enthusiasm! We supply all the cans, caps, masks, and boards you'll need for the day.

Where in Dusseldorf do the workshops take place?

Dusseldorf has some fantastic legal spots, such as the famous Kiefernstraße or professional training walls. If you have a specific private location in mind that is legally sprayable, we can come to you! Otherwise, we host the sessions at our vetted local graffiti hotspots where you can paint legally and safely without any 'vandalism' worries.

The 'Why': A brief, engaging talk about the difference between illegal tagging and the art of professional graffiti.
Safety first: Get geared up in your protective suit, gloves, and professional-grade mask.
Can control: Learn the 'anatomy' of a spray can and practice basic lines, dots, and fades on practice boards.
Sketching: Move from the mind to the wall (or canvas) as you sketch out your group design or individual piece.
The fill-in: Master the art of filling in large areas smoothly and choosing vibrant colour combinations.
Outlining: This is where the magic happens! Add the sharp outlines that make your graffiti 'pop' off the surface.
The finishing touches: Add shines, shadows, and your own unique tag to complete your masterpiece.
Photo op: Strike a pose in front of your creation for a high-energy group photo to remember the day!

Cultura local

Dusseldorf isn't just about high fashion and the "Kö"; it has a pulse of street art running through its veins. From the legendary Kiefernstraße—one of Germany's most famous colourful streets—to the hidden gems in Flingern, the city is a living gallery. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, teaching participants that they can be part of this culture without breaking the law.
