What is the minimum age for the after-school graffiti workshop?

Our after-school graffiti workshops in Setubal are designed for everyone aged 8 and up. We tailor the complexity of the art and the techniques used to suit the age and skill level of the group. Younger children focus on simple shapes and bold colours, while teenagers can dive into complex shading, 'wildstyle' lettering, and advanced can control. No prior artistic experience is needed—we're here to teach the basics!

Is the workshop safe for children?

The safety of our budding artists is our top priority. We provide high-quality FFP2 masks to filter out fumes, as well as protective gloves and overalls to keep school uniforms clean. All our workshops take place in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially prepared indoor spaces. Our professional artists are also fully trained in workshop safety management, ensuring a fun but secure environment for every student.

Do students need to bring their own spray cans?

Not at all! We provide everything needed for a successful session. This includes professional-grade spray cans in a rainbow of colours, protective gear (masks, gloves, overalls), and the surfaces we'll be painting on—whether that's a large plastic wall or individual canvases. We even bring the inspiration! Students only need to bring their enthusiasm and wear clothes they don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on.

How long does an after-school session last?

Standard sessions usually last between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. For our after-school programmes in Setubal, we find this is the 'sweet spot' where students remain fully engaged without getting tired. However, we can adapt the duration to fit your specific school timetable. Whether it's a quick one-hour creative burst or a more intensive three-hour masterclass, we can make it work for your group.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

We believe in 'learning by doing', so we check the forecast closely. If light rain is expected, we can often work under gazebos or semi-covered areas. However, if the weather in Setubal turns particularly nasty, we can move the workshop indoors using specialized low-odour water-based cans and canvases, or we can reschedule the session at no extra cost to ensure the best possible experience for the group.

Where in Setubal do the workshops take place?

Our workshops are incredibly flexible and can be held at various spots across Setubal. We often set up directly on school grounds if there is a suitable outdoor wall or open space. Alternatively, we can host the session at one of the city's legal street art areas or at a local community centre. We come to you, making it as easy as possible for parents and teachers.

How do I book a session and when do I pay?

Booking is simple and risk-free with Graffitifun. You don't need to pay anything upfront; we work on a 'pay after the workshop' basis because we are confident in the quality of our sessions. Just fill out our contact form with your preferred date and group size, and we'll send you a custom quote. Once you're happy, we'll lock in the date with one of our pro artists!

Miestna kultúra

Setubal is a city where tradition meets a modern creative pulse. While famous for its sardines and the stunning Arrábida mountains, the urban landscape is becoming a canvas for incredible local talent. From the maritime-themed murals near the port to the hidden gems in the old town, street art is ingrained in the city’s DNA. Our workshops tap into this local 'Vibe Setubalense', encouraging students to draw inspiration from the blue hues of the Sado River or the vibrant colours of the Mercado do Livramento.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Setubal is home to some of the most striking environmental-themed murals in Portugal? Local artists often use the city's walls to highlight the beauty of the Atlantic dolphins that live right in our bay! 🐬
