Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Most university students who join our Leeds workshops have never held a spray can before. Our professional artists break down the process into easy-to-follow steps, from basic nozzle control to complex shading. We provide a safe, supportive environment where experimentation is encouraged. By the end of the session, you'll be amazed at the professional-looking piece you've created, regardless of your initial artistic confidence.

What safety equipment do you provide for the workshop?

We take safety seriously. We provide high-quality FFP3 respiratory masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep your clothes clean. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor spaces or specially vetted indoor locations in Leeds. Our lead artists are fully trained in health and safety protocols and provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring a worry-free creative experience for everyone involved.

How long does a typical graffiti workshop last?

Standard university workshops in Leeds typically run for about 2 hours, which is the 'sweet spot' for learning and execution. However, we are completely flexible! We can host 90-minute 'taster' sessions during busy freshers' weeks or extended 3-hour masterclasses for arts societies. Just let us know your schedule, and we will tailor the timing to fit your event perfectly without feeling rushed.

What is the maximum group size for a Leeds university event?

We love big groups! Whether it's a small committee of 10 or a massive society event for 100+, we can handle it. For larger groups, we bring in additional professional artists and set up multiple 'graffiti stations' to ensure everyone gets plenty of spray time and personal guidance. We have a deep bench of backup artists in the UK to ensure your event always goes ahead.

Are all materials included in the quoted price?

Everything is included in the price. We provide the premium spray paint (in a huge range of colours), various nozzles (caps) for different effects, protective gear, and the 'canvases'—which can be professional boards, a shared mural wall, or individual plastic-wrapped surfaces. You don't need to bring a thing except your enthusiasm and perhaps some old shoes you don't mind getting a bit dusty!

What happens if it rains on the day of our workshop?

Leeds weather can be unpredictable, but we’ve got you covered. If you have an indoor space with high ceilings and great ventilation, we can work there. Otherwise, we can set up gazebos or use semi-sheltered urban spots. If the weather is truly looking disastrous, our flexible booking policy allows us to discuss rescheduling or moving to a vetted indoor venue so the paint keeps flowing.

Zážitok

Why settle for another boring mixer when you can give your students an experience they’ll actually talk about? Our workshops aren't just about paint; they're about building a community in the heart of Yorkshire. 🏆

Instant Stress Relief: There is something incredibly therapeutic about the 'hiss' of a spray can—perfect for decompressing after finals. ✌️
Boost Campus Culture: Create a permanent or semi-permanent mural that brightens up university spaces and gives students a sense of ownership.
Zero Experience Needed: We make art accessible. Even the most "non-creative" student will leave with a piece they are proud of.
Expert Guidance: Learn from the best. Our artists aren't just teachers; they are active contributors to the UK street art scene. 🎤
Social Media Gold: Let's be honest—graffiti looks amazing on camera. Your event will be all over the 'gram before the paint is even dry!
Worry-Free Planning: With backup artists and no-upfront-payment, we make the organiser's life easy.

Krok za krokom

Design consultation: We chat with your society or union reps to decide on a theme—whether it's your uni mascot, a social cause, or just pure freestyle.
Safety first: Once we meet in Leeds, everyone gets geared up with masks, gloves, and overalls while we cover the essential 'dos and don'ts' of spray painting.
The art of the 'can': Our pros demonstrate basic techniques, from how to hold the can and control pressure to achieving 'fat' and 'skinny' lines.
Sketching the vision: Participants use chalk or light paint to map out their designs on the boards or wall, getting the proportions just right.
Filling and fading: This is where the colour happens! You'll learn how to fill large areas smoothly and create those iconic graffiti gradients and fades.
Outlining and details: Add the 'pop' to your work with sharp outlines, highlights, and 3D effects that make the piece jump off the surface.
The final tag: Every artist needs a signature. We'll help you develop your own tag to sign off your masterpiece.
Group photo and cleanup: We capture high-res photos of your crew with the finished work—perfect for the uni Instagram—and handle all the waste disposal.

Miestna kultúra

Leeds is a powerhouse of northern creativity, from the colourful murals of the Mabgate area to the towering street art in the city centre near the Corn Exchange. The city's student population is the heartbeat of this culture, constantly pushing boundaries in music and art. By hosting a workshop here, you're tapping into a long tradition of Leeds 'DIY' spirit. Our artists are deeply embedded in the local scene and love sharing the secret history of the city's alleyways and legal spots.

Fun Fact: Leeds is home to 'Athena Rising', one of the tallest murals in the UK! It stands at a massive 47 metres high near Leeds Railway Station—pure inspiration for your own workshop session. 🏙️
