Does my child need to be good at drawing to join?

Absolutely! No prior artistic experience is needed for our Liverpool summer camp sessions. Our professional graffiti artists are experts at breaking down complex techniques into simple, fun steps. We start with basic spray can control and work our way up to layering and shading. It’s all about the experience, and we guarantee every participant will walk away with something they are proud of. Everyone is creative; we just help them find it!

Is the spray paint safe for children?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls to keep everyone safe and clean. We use specialized low-pressure spray paint which is much easier for younger artists to control. All workshops are supervised by experienced professionals who are CRB/DBS checked, ensuring a secure and supportive environment for all children to express their creativity during the summer holidays.

What should they wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable 'old' clothes and closed-toe shoes (leave the brand-new trainers at home!). Even though we provide full-body protective overalls and gloves, graffiti can be a messy business, and paint has a habit of finding its way onto sleeves or shoes. Dressing for a bit of mess means the kids can focus entirely on the art without worrying about their outfit.

Do the kids get to keep their artwork?

Yes! One of the best parts of our Liverpool summer camp activity is that every participant gets to take their masterpiece home. Usually, we work on high-quality canvases or wooden panels that are easy to transport once the paint is dry. It’s a fantastic way for them to show off their new skills to family and friends and decorate their bedrooms with authentic street art.

What age group is the summer camp suitable for?

Our activities are designed for youth aged 6 and up. We tailor our teaching style and the equipment used to suit the age group. For younger children, we focus more on shapes and bright colours, while teenagers often dive into more complex lettering and 'wildstyle' techniques. It’s a versatile activity that keeps every age bracket engaged and excited throughout the session.

How long does a typical session last?

Our summer camp sessions in Liverpool usually run for about 2 to 3 hours. This gives us plenty of time for the introduction, safety briefing, practice session, and the creation of the final artwork. For larger groups or full-day summer schemes, we can extend the format to include multiple projects or collaborative mural walls. We're flexible and can adapt the timing to fit your specific schedule.

Where in Liverpool do the workshops take place?

We have various locations across Liverpool, ranging from creative hubs in the Baltic Triangle to outdoor spaces and community centres. We can also come to your specific summer camp location or school grounds if you have a suitable outdoor area or a well-ventilated indoor space. Our team is fully mobile and brings all the equipment needed directly to you for ultimate convenience.

Steg för steg

The warm-up: We start with a high-energy intro to street art culture and a quick safety briefing to get everyone ready.
Design session: Kids grab paper and markers to sketch out their ideas, learning how to structure graffiti letters and tags. ✨
Can control: Our artists demonstrate how to hold the spray can, how to control pressure, and how to achieve different line widths.
First lines: Time to pick up the cans! Participants start by practicing basic shapes and lines on a practice wall or board.
Main project: Once they've got the feel for it, they move onto their final canvas, sketching their main design in a light "ghost" colour.
Colour fill: This is where the magic happens! We guide them through choosing vibrant colours and filling in their designs evenly.
Outlining: We teach the trick of the "power line" – adding a sharp outline to make the 3D letters pop off the surface. 🔥
Final flares: Adding highlights, stars, and "drips" to give the artwork that authentic professional street art finish.
The gallery: We finish with a group photo and a mini-exhibition where everyone can admire each other's creative hard work!

Lokal kultur

Liverpool is a city that wears its heart on its sleeve—and its art on its walls! From the iconic murals of LFC legends in Anfield to the buzzing creative alleys of the Baltic Triangle, inspiration is around every corner. Our workshops tap into this local Scouse spirit of independence and creativity. We don't just teach art; we connect the kids to the urban landscape of their own city.

Fun Fact: Liverpool is home to some of the UK's most famous street art, including pieces by the world-renowned Banksy. The city’s "fringe" art scene is one of the most active in Europe! 🏆
