Do the participants need any prior art experience?

Absolutely! No prior artistic skills are needed for our youth projects. Our professional street artists specialize in teaching beginners how to handle a spray can, from basic lines to more complex shading. We focus on the process and the fun of creation, ensuring every participant walks away feeling like a pro artist. Most of our best murals come from groups who had never touched spray paint before!

Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality FFP2 masks to ensure no fumes are inhaled, along with protective overalls and gloves to keep clothes clean. Our workshops take place in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially designed indoor spaces. Furthermore, our instructors are experienced in managing groups of young people, ensuring the spray cans are used responsibly and safely throughout the entire session.

How long does a typical youth graffiti session last?

Our youth project workshops in Coimbra typically last between 2 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, sketching designs, practicing techniques, and completing a final large-scale masterpiece. If you have a specific schedule to meet for a youth club or school trip, we can easily adapt the duration to fit your needs without losing the creative spark!

Where in Coimbra do the workshops take place?

We pride ourselves on being flexible! We can host the workshop at one of our vetted graffiti-friendly locations in Coimbra, or we can bring the art studio to you. If your youth centre or school has a suitable outdoor wall or a well-ventilated space, we can set up mobile plastic canvases. This 'mobile' approach allows us to bring the graffiti experience directly to your doorstep.

What materials are included in the workshop?

We provide everything needed for a world-class street art experience. This includes a wide range of premium spray paint colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective clothing (suits, masks, gloves), and the 'canvas' itself—whether that is a permanent wall or a large-scale plastic wrap. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes and bring your creative energy!

How does this workshop benefit youth development?

Graffiti is a powerful tool for community building. Our youth projects encourage participants to work together on a shared vision, requiring communication, compromise, and collective effort. Seeing a massive communal mural come to life creates a huge sense of shared pride and belonging. It is a fantastic way to break down social barriers and build confidence within a group of young people.

How do we book and what are the payment terms?

Booking is simple and stress-free! Start by requesting a custom quote through our website. Once we have agreed on the date, location, and group size, your booking is confirmed. The best part? There is no upfront payment required. You only pay after the workshop has been successfully completed and everyone is happy with their results. We also have backup artists ready to ensure your event never gets cancelled.

Upplevelsen

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next youth project in Coimbra? It is about more than just paint on a wall—it is about building confidence and community. 🤝

Boosts self-esteem: There is nothing like the "I made that!" feeling when a teenager sees their art on a massive scale. 💪
Encourages collaboration: Graffiti is the ultimate team sport; you have to work together to make the mural look cohesive.
Physical and active: Get the kids away from screens and into a dynamic, hands-on environment where they can move and create. 🏃‍♂️
Safe professional guidance: Our artists are pros who know how to keep things fun while maintaining a safe and respectful atmosphere.
No-risk booking: With backup artists and "pay-after" policies, your youth project is in the safest hands possible. 🏆

Steg för steg

The warm-up: We start with a high-energy introduction to the history of street art and a safety briefing to get everyone ready.
Design brainstorming: The group works together to brainstorm a theme or a "tag" that represents their youth project or community.
Sketching the vision: Participants grab markers and paper to sketch out their ideas before moving onto the big scale.
Can control 101: Our pro artists demonstrate essential techniques, from 'fat caps' for filling to 'skinny caps' for outlines.
Practice run: Everyone gets a chance to practice making lines, dots, and fades on a practice surface to build confidence.
The main event: The real work begins on the communal mural! Step by step, the group starts layering colours and shapes.
Adding the details: This is where the magic happens—adding highlights, 3D effects, and sharp outlines to make the art pop.
The final reveal: We take a step back to admire the finished masterpiece and take group photos to capture the memory.
Debrief and clean-up: We wrap up with a discussion about the experience and ensure the area is left tidy, leaving only the art behind.

Lokal kultur

Coimbra is often called the 'City of Students', but beyond the ancient university walls and the sounds of Fado, there is a thriving modern pulse. From the street art tucked away in the Alta district to the creative vibes near the Mondego river, Coimbra is the perfect backdrop for urban exploration. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, blending the city's rich history with the bold energy of contemporary graffiti culture.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Coimbra is home to one of the oldest universities in the world? We love the contrast of bringing "new school" graffiti techniques to a city with such "old school" prestige! 🏛️✨

Prissättning

How much does a youth project cost?

Our workshop prices typically range from €20 to €45 per person.

This depends on the number of participants, the duration, and whether we are using a permanent wall or canvas setup. We believe in transparency and offer a 'pay after the workshop' guarantee.
