How it all began
OUR STORY
Graffitifun was founded by Michel Steers (born 1989, Amsterdam) in Amsterdam Zuidoost, in the Holendrecht neighborhood, in 2005. Michel started graffiti around 2004 and turned his passion for street art into a mission: making graffiti accessible as a creative art form and educational tool for everyone. Besides being a graffiti artist, Michel is also a civil engineer who channels his analytical mindset and creative passion into building one of the most trusted names in the workshop industry.
What began as informal sessions teaching friends and neighbors the art of spray painting quickly evolved into a professional operation. We learned the craft in the streets of Amsterdam South East, a neighborhood known for its vibrant urban culture, and grew it into something much bigger. With artists who have up to 40 years of hands-on graffiti experience, our team brings unmatched credibility and authentic street art knowledge to every single workshop.
Because many of our artists originally started graffiti alongside other careers, we bring a unique blend of professionalism and raw creative passion to every booking. We characterize our team by reliability, enthusiasm, and deep artistic skill. We always include backup artists with every workshop, making us the only provider in the global market to offer a 100% guarantee that every booking goes ahead as planned. In over 20 years of operations, Graffitifun has never cancelled a single workshop, kids' party, or corporate assignment.
The real graffiti experience is especially felt at our Graffitifun Hall of Fame locations, featuring hundreds to thousands of square meters of graffiti walls at Flevoparkweg in Amsterdam and Rooseveltlaan in Utrecht. Over the years we have expanded far beyond the Netherlands. Michel Steers founds Graffitifun in Amsterdam Zuidoost, Holendrecht. The first graffiti workshops are organized for local youth and community groups in Amsterdam's vibrant South East district.
CORPORATE EXPANSION
Graffitifun begins offering corporate workshops and team building events. Companies discover graffiti as a creative alternative to traditional team outings, driving rapid demand growth. Workshops are also offered for schools and educational programs.

I joined Graffitifun when I was 15 years old, looking for a side job that would suit me, which is now about 10 years ago. Now it is my fulltime job and I could not be happier with the fact that I managed to turn my passion into my work. I still go to work with great pleasure and I am grateful that this path has come and stayed in my life.
