Can you perform live painting indoors at an Edinburgh venue?

Absolutely! We use high-quality, low-odour water-based spray paints and specialized markers for indoor performances. We also bring floor protection and ventilation solutions if needed. Whether it’s a ballroom at the Balmoral or a modern office space in Leith, we ensure the environment stays clean while the art comes to life. We’ll coordinate with your venue manager to make sure all safety protocols are met before we shake the first can.

How long does a live painting session usually last?

The timeline is completely flexible. A standard live painting performance usually takes between 2 and 4 hours, which perfectly matches the flow of a drinks reception or a gala dinner. However, if you have a multi-day festival or a long corporate activation, we can scale the project to span several days. We work with you to ensure the 'big reveal' of the finished piece happens exactly when you want it to.

Can guests participate in the painting process?

We love it when people get involved! Depending on your event goals, we can set up the performance so guests can add small details or 'tag' a specific area under our artist's guidance. If you'd prefer a more structured hands-on experience, you might want to look at our company event workshops, but adding a 'collaborative' element to a live painting show is a fantastic way to break the ice.

What happens to the artwork after the event ends?

Most clients opt for a large wooden canvas, a stretched fabric wall, or even a vehicle! After the event, the artwork is yours to keep. Many Edinburgh businesses choose to display the final piece in their office reception or staff canteen as a permanent memory of the day. If you don't have space for the physical piece, we can also discuss digital live painting options or temporary installations.

Does the art have to look like traditional street graffiti?

Not at all. While we love the raw energy of graffiti, our artists are incredibly versatile. We can create sleek corporate logos, realistic portraits, abstract landscapes, or themed murals that match your brand’s colour palette. During the briefing stage, we’ll discuss your vision and matching you with an artist whose specific style—be it fine art, pop art, or classic street style—suits your Edinburgh event perfectly.

How do you calculate the costs for a live painting event?

We keep things simple and transparent. Our pricing is based on the duration of the performance, the size of the canvas, and the complexity of the design. Typically, prices range from £25 to £55 per person if calculated as an interactive guest experience. For a pure performance piece, we provide a flat project fee. The best part? There’s no upfront payment required—you only pay after the masterpiece is complete!
