The experience

Why choose a 3D street art workshop for your next Alotau event? It’s more than just painting; it’s about changing your perspective—literally! Here is why our experience kicks goals every time:

  • Epic photo ops: 3D art is made for social media. Your guests will have incredible photos that look like they're stepping into another world. ✨
  • Zero experience needed: Our pro artists make the "impossible" easy. You don't need to be Picasso to create something awesome.
  • The ultimate "cool" factor: Whether it's for kids' parties or company events, nothing beats the thrill of using a spray can.
  • Team bonding: Work together to figure out the angles and create a massive collaborative 3D piece. 🤝
  • Total flexibility: We travel all over PNG—if you aren't in Alotau, check out our workshops in Port Moresby, Lae, Mount Hagen, or Madang.
  • Peace of mind: With our "no cure, no pay" mindset and 100% satisfaction focus, your fun is guaranteed! 🏆

Step by step

  1. The 3D briefing: Start with a quick intro into the world of anamorphic art and how 2D lines become 3D illusions.
  2. Design & perspective: Grab a sketchpad and plan your piece, learning where the "focal point" needs to be for that 3D pop.
  3. Mastering the can: High-five your instructor and learn the "can control" basics—distance, speed, and pressure.
  4. Outlining the depth: Tag your initial shapes on the canvas, focusing on the distorted angles that create height.
  5. The light source: Choose where your "sun" is coming from to determine where your shadows and highlights will fall.
  6. Filling & fading: Use professional spray cans to fill in colours and blend gradients for a smooth, realistic look.
  7. The drop shadow: The magic step! Add the dark shadows underneath your art to make it look like it's floating off the surface.
  8. Final highlights: Add those sharp white "pops" that catch the eye and complete the optical illusion.
  9. The photo op: Stand at the "sweet spot" and take a photo of your work—this is where the 3D effect truly comes to life!

Local culture

Street art in Alotau

Alotau is a town built on vibrant culture and incredible visual storytelling, famous for the stunning canoes of the Kula Festival. We are bringing that same spirit of craftsmanship into the modern age with our 3D street art workshops. Imagine blending the traditional patterns of Milne Bay with cutting-edge 3D graffiti techniques! While the town is known for its peaceful atmosphere and the historic Battle of Milne Bay sites, we’re adding a splash of contemporary colour to the local scene. Our workshops often take inspiration from the lush tropical surroundings and the deep blue of the Solomon Sea.

Fun Alotau Fact: Did you know Alotau is one of the few places in the world where you can witness the traditional Gwala ceremonies? We love bringing that same community energy into our collaborative street art sessions! 🛶

Pricing

We don't believe in "one size fits all" when it comes to art! Our prices depend on group size and setup—whether you want a small private session or a massive festival installation in Alotau. We offer competitive rates with no hidden fees and no upfront payment required.
