Welcome to Brasilia’s most creative solution for urban renewal! At Graffitifun, we believe that the best way to tackle unwanted tagging is to empower people with the skills to create real art. Our anti-vandalism programs are more than just a workshop; they are a transformative experience where participants learn the discipline, history, and technique behind high-level street art. By channelling creative energy into collaborative murals, we help residents of the capital build a stronger connection to their surroundings. Whether you’re a community leader, a school administrator, or a business owner looking to protect your premises, our workshops offer a positive, hands-on way to celebrate Brasilia’s unique urban landscape through vibrant, legal creativity.

The experience

Why choose our anti-vandalism approach for your project in Brasilia? We don't just teach you how to paint; we change the way people see their city.

  • Positive social impact: We turn potential vandals into community artists by giving them a platform for legal expression.
  • Expert mentorship: Work alongside professional artists who have spent years navigating the street art world.
  • Beautification: Transform dull, grey walls into vibrant landmarks that discourage tagging and encourage local pride.
  • No-risk booking: With our 'pay after' policy and backup artists, your project is guaranteed to be a success.
  • Skill development: Participants walk away with real artistic techniques and a deep understanding of urban art culture.
  • Community building: Collaborative mural painting is a fantastic way to bring different generations and backgrounds together.

Step by step

  1. Intro and history: We start with a briefing on the origins of graffiti and the vital difference between vandalism and street art.
  2. Safety first: Everyone gets geared up with masks, gloves, and overalls while we cover the essential safety rules for using spray cans.
  3. The technique: Our artists demonstrate 'can control'—teaching you how to adjust pressure and distance to get different effects.
  4. Sketching the vision: Participants brainstorm a positive theme for the mural that celebrates the local Brasilia community.
  5. Outline practice: Before hitting the main wall, you'll practice drawing basic shapes and letters on training boards or plastic wrap.
  6. Filling and fading: Learn how to apply vibrant colours and create smooth gradients (fades) to make the artwork pop.
  7. The final outline: The most crucial part! We show you how to 'cut' the lines and add shadows to give the mural a 3D effect.
  8. The big reveal: Step back and admire the collective masterpiece that has transformed a plain wall into a work of art.
  9. Clean up: We ensure the site is left spotless, removing all empty cans and materials responsibly.

Local culture

Street art in Brasilia

Brasilia is a city built on vision and architecture. From the stunning lines of the Eixo Monumental to the hidden corners of the residential 'Superquadras', the city's unique layout provides a fascinating backdrop for contemporary street art. Unlike the chaotic sprawl of Sao Paulo or the coastal vibes of Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia offers a canvas defined by modernism and open sky.

Our workshops respect the 'Plano Piloto' aesthetic while bringing a fresh, modern energy to the streets. We often draw inspiration from the city's iconic tile work and concrete structures, showing participants how to add colour without clashing with Oscar Niemeyer’s architectural legacy. We take pride in contributing to the capital’s growing reputation as a hub for artistic innovation, moving away from mindless tagging and towards meaningful public art.

Pricing

Our anti-vandalism workshops are designed to be accessible for communities, schools, and local organisations. Prices are calculated based on the number of participants and the amount of paint required for your specific mural project.

Estimated price per person: R$120 - R$280 (BRL)

Because every project in the capital is unique, we recommend getting in touch for a tailored proposal. We offer special rates for educational institutions and non-profit organisations.
