Do we need any previous art experience to join?

Absolutely! No prior artistic experience is required for our Dresden indoor parties. Our professional artists are expert instructors who break down the process into simple, manageable steps. We start with basic lines and shapes before moving on to more complex techniques. By the end of the session, you'll be amazed at the masterpiece you've created, regardless of your starting skill level. It's all about having fun and being creative together!

What should we wear to an indoor graffiti party?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a little bit dirty. While we provide high-quality protective overalls, gloves, and shoe covers, graffiti can sometimes be a messy business! It's best to avoid your Sunday best or expensive designer gear. Think 'casual and practical' so you can focus entirely on your spray painting technique without worrying about a stray drop of paint on your favorite shirt.

Is it safe to use spray cans indoors?

Safety is our top priority. We use low-odor, professional-grade spray paints specifically designed for indoor use. Furthermore, we provide FFP2 or FFP3 masks for all participants to ensure you aren't inhaling any fumes. Our indoor locations in Dresden are also equipped with proper ventilation. We take all necessary precautions so you can enjoy the creative process in a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment throughout the entire workshop.

How long does the workshop usually last?

A standard indoor party workshop in Dresden usually lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This provides ample time for the introduction, a safety briefing, practicing your technique, and finally creating your main piece of art. If you have a larger group or want a more intensive experience, we can certainly extend the duration to suit your needs. We're flexible and want to ensure your group never feels rushed during the creative process.

When and how do we pay for the workshop?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our 'Play Now, Pay Later' policy! You don't need to make any upfront payments to secure your booking in Dresden. You can conveniently pay after the workshop has concluded. This takes the stress out of the planning process, especially for group organisers. We believe in the quality of our experience and want you to be 100% satisfied before any money changes hands.

Can we take our artwork home with us?

Yes, you absolutely do! You can choose to work on a collective large-scale piece or create individual canvases. If you work on canvases, you get to take your unique street art home with you to hang on your wall as a memory of the day. If we're working on a larger shared mural, we can discuss options for how to divide it or provide smaller takeaway items so everyone has a memento!

What is the minimum or maximum group size?

Our indoor parties are very flexible! We generally accommodate groups starting from 5-10 people, but we can handle much larger crowds as well. For very large groups, we bring in additional professional artists from our backup pool to ensure everyone gets enough individual attention and guidance. Whether it's an intimate gathering of friends or a massive celebration, we have the staff and equipment to make it happen in Dresden.

Step by step

Arrival and welcome: Your group meets our professional graffiti artist at our Dresden indoor location. We’ll kick things off with some high-energy introductions!
The artistic briefing: Learn about the history of street art and the different styles you'll be using. We'll show you some cool examples to get your brain's creative gears turning.
Safety first: We suit everyone up in protective gear, including overalls, gloves and masks. We’ll explain how to handle the cans safely indoors.
Mastering the can: Start with 'Can Control' basics. You'll learn how to create thin lines, fat fills, and smooth gradients on practice surfaces.
Sketching your concept: Grab a marker and map out your design. Whether it's a team logo, a name, or a wild abstract piece, we'll help you refine the layout.
The first layer: Time to start spraying! You'll apply your base colours and start seeing your vision come to life on the canvas or wall.
Adding the details: This is where the magic happens. We’ll teach you highlights, 3D effects, and the 'outer' lines that make graffiti pop.
The big reveal: Step back and admire the collective work! We’ll take professional-style group photos of you with your finished masterpieces.
Wrap up and takeway: Pack up your individual canvases (if applicable) and head out into Dresden with your new skills and great memories!

Local culture

Dresden is a city of incredible contrasts, where the Baroque majesty of the Altstadt meets the raw, rebellious spirit of the Äußere Neustadt. This neighborhood is the beating heart of Dresden’s street art scene, filled with hidden murals, intricate stencils, and vibrant 'halls of fame' that give the city its unique edge. Our indoor workshops tap into this local 'Dredd' energy, bringing that gritty, artistic vibe into a controlled party setting.

Fun Fact: Did you know Dresden is home to the famous 'Kunsthofpassage'? It's a series of courtyards featuring incredibly creative architecture and murals, including a building that 'plays music' when it rains thanks to a system of gutters shaped like instruments! 🎺

Our workshops celebrate this local penchant for combining tradition with wild innovation. We don't just teach you to spray; we connect you to the artistic pulse of Saxony’s capital. 🏰
