Step by step

  1. Introduction & Safety: We start with a high-energy kick-off where our artists explain the 'rules of the road' and how to stay safe with the equipment.
  2. History & Culture: A quick, engaging dive into how graffiti started and how it evolved into the global street art movement we see in Zagreb today.
  3. Sketching the Vision: Before the paint flies, campers grab paper and pens to sketch out their ideas and learn about letter structures.
  4. Spray Can Control: Students learn 'Can Control 101'—how to hold the can, adjust distance, and swap caps for different line thicknesses.
  5. Practice Makes Perfect: Everyone gets a practice wall or board to try out 'tags' and 'throw-ups' until they feel confident.
  6. The Big Mural: The group works together on a large-scale project, applying their new skills to create a collaborative masterpiece.
  7. Refining & Outlining: Our professional artists help the campers add the 'wow' factors—sharp outlines, 3D effects, and highlights.
  8. Photos & Celebration: Once the masterpiece is complete, we take group photos for the camp memories and admire the incredible transformation.

Local culture

Street art in Zagreb

Zagreb is a hidden gem for street art lovers! From the famous murals in Studentski Centar to the ever-evolving walls of Branimirova Street, the city is a living gallery. Our workshops take inspiration from the 'Zagreb school' of graffiti, which blends classic styles with modern, illustrative twists. We love showing campers how the city’s grey spaces have been transformed into colourful landmarks by local legends like Lonac and Chez 186.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Zagreb is home to one of the longest legal graffiti walls in Europe? The Branimirova wall was first painted in 1999 and has since become a rotating canvas for some of the world's best street artists! 🎨

By bringing our graffiti workshop to your summer camp, you're not just offering an activity; you're connecting the kids to the authentic urban pulse of Croatia's capital. Many of our sessions take place near these iconic spots, giving students a real-world context for their own creative journey. 🇭🇷
