Step by step
- Intro & History: We kick things off with a cool presentation on the history of street art and how it evolved from NYC subways to Fukuoka's urban landscape.
- Safety Briefing: Students get geared up in protective suits, masks, and gloves while learning the "do's and don'ts" of spray painting.
- Technique Practice: Our pros demonstrate how to hold the can, control pressure, and create different line widths and fades.
- Sketching Your Vision: Students work together to sketch their ideas on paper, planning out the "masterpiece" before hitting the wall.
- First Lines: The exciting part! Students start applying their first layers of paint under the careful guidance of our artists.
- Filling & Shading: We teach how to add depth, vibrant colors, and 3D effects to make the graffiti "pop."
- The Outline: Putting on the finishing touches with sharp outlines and highlights to bring the whole artwork together.
- Photo Op & Cleanup: We take group photos with the final artwork before cleaning up the site, leaving nothing but great memories and art behind!

Local culture
Street art in Fukuoka
Fukuoka is a city that perfectly balances tradition with a modern, edgy vibe. From the bustling streets of Tenjin to the creative pockets in Daimyo, street art is starting to find its rhythm in this coastal metropolis. Did you know that Fukuoka is often called the "Gateway to Asia"? This international spirit makes it the perfect place for students to explore global art forms like graffiti. 🍜
Fun Fact: While Japan has strict rules about public art, Fukuoka's local community is increasingly embracing "machi-zukuri" (town-making) through legal murals, helping to transform gray spaces into colorful landmarks that reflect the city's youthful energy! 🎤
