Hey Goma! Are you looking to swap the traditional classroom setting for a burst of vibrant colour and high-energy creativity? Our graffiti workshops for schools are designed to inspire the next generation of Congolese artists right here in the shadow of Mount Nyiragongo. We bring a professional, safe, and incredibly fun street art experience directly to your students, fostering teamwork and self-expression through the medium of aerosol art. Whether you're a primary school looking for a unique reward day or a secondary school wanting to explore urban culture, our expert artists provide a hands-on journey from the first sketch to the final mural. It's time to turn those school walls (or our mobile boards!) into a canvas of imagination. Ready to make your mark? 🎉

Step by step
- Intro & Street Art History: We kick things off with an energetic talk about the origins of graffiti and its evolution into modern street art.
- Safety & Gear Up: Students get fitted with their protective masks and gloves while learning the essential 'golden rules' of spray painting.
- Mastering the Can: Our artists demonstrate 'can control'—teaching students how to create thin lines, fat drips, and smooth gradients.
- Sketching the Vision: Before hitting the wall, students plan their designs on paper, focusing on letter structure and colour theory.
- Tagging Practice: Everyone gets a chance to practice their unique 'tag' or signature on a test board to build their confidence.
- The Big Project: Students work together on a massive, vibrant mural that represents their school's values or a specific theme.
- Final Touches: We help the students add sharp outlines and 'highlights' to make their collective artwork really pop.
- Group Photo & Celebration: Once the masks come off, we celebrate the hard work with a group photo in front of the new masterpiece!

Local culture
Street art in Goma
Goma is a city of incredible resilience and burgeoning artistic talent. From the bustling markets of Birere to the scenic shores of Lake Kivu, the "Gomatraciens" have a unique rhythm and a powerful voice. We love tapping into this local energy, encouraging students to draw inspiration from the vibrant colours of East African textiles and the local street life. Street art in Goma isn't just about paint; it's about telling a story of hope and community.
Fun Fact: Did you know that Goma is known as the 'tourist capital' of DR Congo? Its artistic scene is just as explosive as the nearby volcanoes, making it the perfect place for students to explore their creative fire! 🔥
