How it works
- The warm-up: Your crew arrives at the Dunedin location, meets our lead artist, and gets geared up in protective suits and masks. 🔥
- Artist demo: We show you the basics: how to handle the can, nozzle types (caps), and how to control your lines and fades.
- Sketching the plan: Grab some chalk and start outlining your vision on the wall or canvas. No pressure, just vibes!
- First layers: Start filling in your shapes. Our artists wander around giving tips and helping you fix any 'happy accidents'.
- Adding the details: This is where the magic happens. Learn how to do 'cut-ins', highlights, and those sharp outlines that make street art pop. 🎨
- The group collab: If you're doing a group piece for the bachelor or bachelorette, we’ll bring it all together for one final polished look.
- Photo op: We’ll take some epic group photos of you and your masterpieces. The perfect proof of your Dunedin legendary status! 📸

Frequently asked questions
Is this actually legal? We don't want to end up in the cells!
Absolutely! We focus on the "legal" side of street art. We provide a safe, controlled environment with professional gear. You’ll learn the proper techniques from artists who know the Dunedin scene inside out. It's all about having a blast and expressing yourself without the worry of getting in trouble. Plus, we provide all the safety gear, so the only thing you have to worry about is which colour to pick next!
Do we need any previous art skills or experience?
Not at all! Most of our bachelor party groups in Dunedin haven't touched a spray can since they were kids (or ever!). Our expert tutors are pros at breaking down the basics. We’ll show you how to hold the can, control the pressure, and create shapes. You’ll be surprised at how quickly you'll go from 'stick figures' to a legitimate-looking piece of street art. It’s all about the experience and having a laugh!
Do you offer these workshops in other NZ cities?
While we love the Dunedin vibe, Christchurch, Auckland, Wellington, and Hamilton also host our epic workshops. If your stag do or hen's night is taking you on a bit of a South Island or North Island road trip, we can likely accommodate your crew in most major Kiwi hubs. Just let us know your travel plans and we’ll see where we can fit you in for some spray-painting action!
How long does the workshop usually last?
Standard bachelor workshops usually run for about 2 hours, which is the 'sweet spot' for getting the hang of the cans and finishing a masterpiece without getting too tired for the rest of your night out in the Octagon. However, we can flex the time slightly depending on your group size and how deep you want to dive into the techniques. It's the perfect afternoon activity before the evening festivities kick off!
What should we wear? Will we get covered in paint?
We’ve got you covered! We provide high-quality masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep your party clothes clean. That said, it’s Dunedin—it can get a bit chilly or breezy! We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny speck of paint on, just in case. Leave the fancy evening shirts and dresses in the bag until after the session!
Can we choose what we paint or have a specific theme?
For sure! We can tailor the workshop so the group works together on one massive 'marriage' mural, or everyone can have their own space to get creative. Many groups choose a theme—like the groom’s face (or a funny version of it!) or things he loves. It’s a great way to create a unique memento. You can even take some of the smaller canvases home as a souvenir of the day!
How do we book and when do we have to pay?
Booking is easy as! Since prices vary based on your group size and how 'extra' you want the setup to be, just hit us up for a quick quote. We don't require any upfront payment, so you can lock in your date without the stress of chasing everyone for cash straight away. Once we've got the details, you pay after the workshop is done. Simple, fair, and NZ-friendly!
