Can the graffiti workshop be held at both indoor and outdoor festivals?
Absolutely! We use high-quality water-based spray paints for indoor festival setups and standard professional paints for outdoor areas. Our team provides all necessary protective gear, including masks and gloves, and we set up specialized floor protection to ensure the festival venue remains spotless. We can bring our own mobile graffiti walls, so you don't even need a permanent structure to host us!
How many people can participate in the workshop at once?
We are incredibly flexible. For large-scale Hamburg festivals, we usually recommend a 'walk-in' style where 10-20 people can paint simultaneously while others watch and wait their turn. We can rotate hundreds of participants throughout a single day. If you have a specific VIP group or a smaller activation, we can also run structured 90-minute sessions for fixed groups of up to 50 people at a time.
Is the activity safe and do you provide protective clothing?
Safety is our top priority. We provide FFP2 or FFP3 grade masks to all participants to ensure no fumes are inhaled. We also supply protective suits and gloves to keep everyone’s festival outfits clean. Our professional artists supervise the area at all times, ensuring that the spray cans are used responsibly and that the 'spray zone' remains a safe environment for all ages.
Can participants take their artwork home with them?
We definitely do! While many festivals love the collaborative 'big wall' vibe, we can also offer individual canvases or even 'graffiti-your-own-tote-bag' stations. This allows guests to create their own unique piece of street art and take it home as a festival souvenir. It’s a fantastic way to ensure your event stays in their minds (and on their walls) long after the music stops.
Do participants need any prior artistic experience?
Not at all! Our workshops are designed for everyone from absolute beginners to closet Picassos. Our Graffitifun artists are masters at teaching the basics of can control, fading, and outlining in just a few minutes. We find that festival-goers often surprise themselves with their creativity once they have a spray can in their hand and a little expert guidance.
What happens if it rains or an artist is unavailable?
While we love the sun in Hamburg, we are always prepared for the 'Schietwetter'. If your festival is outdoors, we can set up under professional pop-up gazebos or event tents to keep the artists and the artwork dry. We also have a large roster of backup artists to ensure that even if someone falls ill, your festival entertainment will go ahead exactly as planned.
How far in advance should we book for a summer festival?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for the busy summer festival season in Germany. Ideally, get in touch 2-4 months in advance. However, because we have a large team of over 30 artists across the region, we can often accommodate last-minute requests. Just drop us a message with your dates and we will do our absolute best to make it happen!
