How it works

Intro and inspiration: We start with a high-energy kick-off, sharing the history of street art and showing some local Lima graffiti legends' work to get the creative juices flowing.
Safety first: Every participant gets kitted out in protective gear, including masks and gloves, while our pros explain how to use the equipment responsibly.
Sketching the vision: Before hitting the wall, the youth work on paper to brainstorm their tags, characters, or messages, turning ideas into a concrete plan.
Can control basics: Our artists demonstrate the "low pressure" technique, teaching the group how to hold the can, swap nozzles (caps), and manage distance for different effects.
First lines: Time to spray! Participants start by practicing basic shapes and lines on their workspace to build confidence with the medium.
Filling and fading: We teach advanced techniques like "filling" large areas quickly and creating smooth colour gradients (fades) for a professional look.
The outline and highlights: This is where the magic happens. We show them how to use high-contrast colours to make their artwork "pop" off the surface.
The final reveal: The group steps back to admire their collective or individual work, followed by a photo session to capture their achievements.
Cleanup and wrap-up: We ensure the site is left tidy and have a quick recap session on what everyone learned during their Lima street art experience.

Frequently asked questions

Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers and children?

Absolutely! Safety is our top priority for youth projects in Lima. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls to keep everyone clean and safe. Our professional artists are trained to supervise young people, ensuring they use the spray cans correctly. We also choose outdoor or well-ventilated spaces for our workshops to ensure a comfortable and healthy environment for all budding artists.

Do participants need previous art experience?

Not at all! Our youth projects are designed for all skill levels. Whether they’ve never touched a spray can before or are already sketching in notebooks, our artists provide step-by-step guidance. We start with the basics of nozzle control and lines before moving on to complex filling techniques and shadows. Every participant in Lima will walk away with a piece of art they are proud of.

How much does a youth graffiti project in Lima cost?

Pricing for our Lima youth projects depends on the number of participants, the duration of the session, and the specific location. Because we tailor every workshop to the needs of the group, we recommend requesting a free quote via our website. We offer competitive rates and special considerations for community groups and non-profits, ensuring street art remains accessible to Lima's youth.

How long does a typical session last?

A standard youth workshop in Lima usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives the group enough time to learn the history of graffiti, practice their techniques, and complete a final masterpiece. If you are looking for a more intensive multi-day project or a large-scale mural collaboration, we can certainly extend the programme to suit your project goals.

What materials are included in the workshop?

Graffitifun provides everything! We bring professional-grade spray paint in a huge variety of colours, various caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective gear, and the 'canvas'—whether that’s a mobile wall, individual boards, or a designated public mural space. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and some old clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little paint on!

Can we create a permanent mural in our neighbourhood?

Yes, we love collaborating on community murals! In addition to individual workshops, we can facilitate a project where the youth of Lima work together to design and paint a large-scale wall. This is a fantastic way to foster teamwork, pride in the local neighbourhood, and create a lasting piece of public art that the community can enjoy for years to come.

How do I book a session and what are the payment terms?

Booking is easy and flexible. You can reach out to us through our online booking form or cost calculator. The best part? There is no upfront payment required. You only pay after the workshop is completed, ensuring you are 100% satisfied with the experience. We also have backup artists available in Lima, so your event will never be cancelled due to staff illness.
