How long does a typical university graffiti workshop last?

Our Utrecht university workshops typically last between 1.5 and 3 hours. This gives your group enough time to learn the basic strokes, practice their handstyles, and complete a large-scale collaborative mural or individual canvases. We can easily adjust the timing to fit into a specific lecture slot or a full-day student association event if needed. Just let us know your schedule requirements!

Do we need to bring our own protective gear?

Safety is our top priority! We provide high-quality hooded overalls, shoe covers, and professional-grade nitrile gloves to keep your clothes clean. We also provide FFP2 or FFP3 masks to ensure everyone breathes easy while using the spray cans. Our artists lead a safety briefing before any cans are shaken, ensuring a responsible environment for all participants during the creative process.

Do students need previous artistic experience to participate?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for everyone, from those who can't draw a straight line to fine arts students. Our professional artists guide you through the process step-by-step, starting with basic techniques before moving on to complex pieces. You'll be amazed at the high-quality professional results your group can achieve in just a couple of hours.

Where in Utrecht do the workshops take place?

Utrecht is famous for its legal graffiti zones like the Berlijnplein, but we also have private indoor locations and mobile setups. If you have a specific spot on campus you'd like to use, we can often arrange mobile wooden walls. This allows us to bring the workshop directly to your university grounds or student association house, provided there is enough ventilation and space.

Can we choose a specific theme for our graffiti session?

Absolutely! For student associations and university groups, we love working with specific themes. Whether it’s your faculty's colours, a social cause, or a specific 'lustrum' theme, our artists will help you design a concept that reflects your group's identity. It’s a fantastic way to create a lasting memory or a physical piece of art for your common room.

How does the pricing and payment work for student groups?

We understand that student budgets and group sizes can vary. We offer a transparent pricing model where the cost per person decreases as the group size increases. Best of all, we don't require upfront payments—you pay after the workshop is completed. You can also use our online Cost Calculator to get an instant estimate before requesting a formal quote.

Lokal kultur

Utrecht is a hidden gem for street art lovers. From the massive murals in Hoograven to the legendary legal painting spots at Berlijnplein in Leidsche Rijn, the city is a living canvas. The local scene is deeply intertwined with the city's academic heart, often blending intellectual themes with gritty, urban aesthetics. When you join our workshop, you aren't just painting; you're joining a long tradition of Utrecht 'street royalty' like the famous KBTR (the Utrecht Kabouter), whose iconic figures peek out from corners across the city. 🇳🇱

Fun Fact: Did you know Utrecht is home to some of the tallest murals in the Netherlands? Many of these were created to celebrate local history, proving that in this city, the walls really do talk! 🗣️
