Is graffiti spraying safe for primary school children?

Absolutely! We use special low-odour spray cans designed for younger users, alongside high-quality gloves, masks, and protective suits. Our professional artists are experts at managing groups of children, ensuring a safe environment where everyone follows the 'spray rules'. We've hosted hundreds of primary school workshops across the Netherlands without a hitch, making safety our number one priority while the kids have a blast.

What should the students wear for the workshop?

We recommend wearing old clothes and sneakers, just in case! Even though we provide full-body protective suits and gloves, kids have a magical way of getting paint in unexpected places. It’s better to be safe than sorry, so leave the brand-new school shoes at home for the day. We provide all the professional gear needed to keep the mess to a minimum while they create their masterpieces.

Do the children need to be good at drawing?

No prior art skills are needed at all! Our workshops are designed to be inclusive and encouraging for every child, regardless of their artistic ability. Our artists guide them through simple techniques like 'the dot' and 'the line' before moving on to bigger things. By the end of the session, even the kids who thought they couldn't draw will be amazed at what they've created. It's all about fun and expression.

What kind of space do we need at the school?

Ideally, we need an outdoor space like a school playground or a covered bike shed with good ventilation. If the Eindhoven weather isn't playing ball, we can sometimes work in large, well-ventilated indoor halls using water-based paints, but outdoor is always the best for the authentic graffiti experience. If you’re unsure if your school grounds are suitable, just give us a shout and we can do a quick assessment for you.

How long does a typical school workshop last?

Standard workshops for primary schools usually last between 1.5 to 2 hours. This gives us enough time for a fun intro, some practice runs, and the creation of the final artwork. For larger groups or full school projects, we can rotate classes throughout the day. We’re super flexible and can easily adapt the schedule to fit around your school bells and break times!

Can the workshop be linked to a specific school theme?

Yes, we can! We love incorporating school themes, values, or specific classroom projects into our sessions. Whether you want a mural based on 'Biodiversity' or 'Friendship', we can tailor the design phase to match your curriculum. It’s a fantastic way to make a lesson stick – literally! Just let us know your theme when booking, and our artists will prep some cool templates and ideas.

Das Erlebnis

Confidence Boost: There are no mistakes in graffiti, only "happy accidents" that help kids find their unique style. 🚀
Teamwork in Action: Creating a giant mural together teaches students how to collaborate and respect each other's space. 🤝
Motor Skills: Controlling a spray can is a fantastic (and fun!) way to develop fine motor coordination. 💪
Curriculum Friendly: We can link the workshop to themes like history, environment, or social studies. 📚
Zero Stress for Teachers: We bring everything, manage the whole process, and even handle the cleanup! ☕
Professional Mentorship: Kids get to learn directly from real-deal street artists who live and breathe this culture. 🎤

Schritt für Schritt

Introduction & Safety: Our artists arrive at your Eindhoven school and set up the 'graffiti zone'. We start with a high-energy intro about street art history and a vital safety briefing.
Mastering the Can: Kids get their first spray can! We teach them the basics: how to hold the can, control the pressure, and create different line widths.
Design Brainstorm: Working in small groups or individually, the students sketch out their ideas on paper, focusing on tags, throw-ups, or themed characters.
Practice Makes Perfect: Before hitting the final boards, the children practice their moves on a ‘trial wall’ to get their confidence up and find their flow.
The Main Event: Now the real magic happens! Students start filling in their designs on large wooden panels or individual canvases using a rainbow of colours.
Adding the Details: Our pros help the kids with 'outlining' and 'highlighting' to make their artwork pop and look like a professional street art piece.
The Big Reveal: Once the paint is dry, we host a mini 'gallery opening' where the kids can show off their work to their teachers and classmates.
Clean Up: We handle the pack-down, leaving your school grounds exactly as we found them (except for the awesome new art, of course!).

By bringing a graffiti workshop to your primary school, you're connecting your students with a local culture that celebrates "out of the box" thinking—something Eindhoven is famous for worldwide.
