Schritt für Schritt

  1. The day begins with a high energy introduction to the history of graffiti and how it evolved from street subculture into a respected global art form.
  2. Safety first! Our artists demonstrate the correct way to wear protective gear and how to handle the spray cans responsibly.
  3. Students start with a workspace orientation where they learn about different nozzles and how they control the pressure and width of the paint.
  4. Under expert guidance, students practice basic lines, dots, and filling techniques on practice surfaces to build their confidence.
  5. The group brainstorms a theme or design, sketching out ideas that represent their collective vision or school spirit.
  6. Our professional artists help outline the main design on the large scale walls or individual canvases.
  7. This is the part everyone loves! Students get to work with a huge palette of colours to fill in their designs and add vibrant details.
  8. The final stage involves adding sharp outlines and highlights to make the artwork pop and look like a professional mural.
  9. We wrap up with a group photo session and a debrief where students can discuss what they learned about teamwork and creative expression.

Gut zu wissen

Our school workshops are built on a foundation of professional care and organisation. We can handle groups of almost any size, from a single class of 20 to an entire grade of 150 students, by bringing in multiple artists to keep the teacher to student ratio ideal. Each session includes all premium materials such as low pressure spray cans, high grade respirators, and protective clothing. We also provide a full cleanup after the session, leaving your school grounds exactly as we found them, just perhaps with a little more artistic inspiration in the air!

Street Art in Port Elizabeth

Port Elizabeth, or Gqeberha, is a city with a rapidly growing creative heartbeat. From the iconic Route 67 art trail to the hidden gems in Central, the city is becoming a canvas for local talent. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, encouraging students to look at their city through a more artistic lens. We love bringing the Friendly City's warmth into our sessions, making sure every student feels like a part of the local art community.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Port Elizabeth is home to one of the largest public art installations in South Africa?
