How far in advance should we book our team development workshop?

Ideally, we recommend booking your Recife team development session at least 3-4 weeks in advance, especially for larger corporate groups. However, because we have a deep bench of professional backup artists in Pernambuco, we can often accommodate last-minute requests. If you have a sudden deadline or a surprise team away-day, give us a shout and we’ll do our absolute best to make it happen!

Do we need any previous artistic experience or 'talent'?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our professional artists break down the process into simple, manageable steps that anyone can follow. Whether your team members are secret Picassos or haven't held a pen in years, they will leave the session feeling proud of what they’ve created. It’s all about the team experience and trying something new together in a supportive environment.

Is the spray paint safe and what protective gear is provided?

Safety is our priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls to keep everyone’s clothes clean. We use professional-grade spray paint and conduct our sessions in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially set-up indoor spaces. Our artists provide a full safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring a worry-free environment where your team can focus entirely on being creative.

Where do the workshops take place? Can you come to our office?

We are very flexible! We can host the workshop at a vibrant outdoor street art spot in Recife to soak up the local atmosphere, or we can bring the entire setup to your office car park or a hired event space. As long as we have a flat surface and permission to be there, we can transform almost any location into a temporary urban art studio for your team.

How long does a typical graffiti session last?

A standard team development workshop in Recife typically lasts between 2 to 3 hours. This allows enough time for the intro, safety briefing, technique practice, and the creation of your final masterpiece. If you have a tighter schedule or want a more intensive full-day creative retreat, we can easily customise the duration to fit your specific itinerary and goals.

What is your payment policy? Do we need to pay upfront?

We believe in the quality of our experiences, so we don't require upfront payments for most bookings. You can book your date and confirm your workshop, and payment is handled after the event is successfully completed. This ensures you are 100% satisfied with the creative results and the professional service provided by our Graffitifun team before the final invoice is settled.

Can we take the artwork back to our office?

Absolutely. While we focus on team collaboration, we can also set up individual canvases so every participant has something to take home. Alternatively, many teams choose to create a large shared mural on a wooden wall or large canvas that can be displayed in the office back in Recife. It’s a fantastic daily reminder of the day your team stepped out of their comfort zone and succeeded together.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your team in Recife? Because standard PowerPoint presentations don't build culture—shared experiences do. Here’s why your team will love it:

Total inclusivity: No matter the age or physical ability, everyone can pick up a can and contribute to the final masterpiece. 🤝
Boosts creative confidence: We help your staff overcome the "I'm not creative" hurdle, proving they can master new skills fast. 🚀
Tangible results: You’ll end the day with a physical piece of art that represents your team's collective effort. 🏆
Professional edge: Our artists are the real deal, ensuring a high-quality finish that makes your team feel like pros. 🎤
Stress relief: There’s something incredibly therapeutic about the 'hiss' of a spray can and seeing vibrant colours come to life. 🌈
Reliability: With backup artists on standby and a "pay later" policy, your event is in the safest hands in Brazil. 💪

Step by step

The warm-up: We start with a high-energy intro where your team meets our local Recife street artists and learns about the evolution of graffiti.
Design thinking: Your group brainstorms concepts that represent your team values, turning abstract ideas into visual sketches.
Can control 101: Our pros demonstrate the essential techniques, from 'fat caps' for filling to 'skinny caps' for those sharp outlines.
Practice run: Everyone head to the practice wall to get a feel for the pressure and flow of the spray cans in a low-pressure environment.
Outlining the vision: With masks on and cans ready, the team begins sketching the main mural or individual pieces onto the final surface.
Layering & colour: This is where the magic happens! The team works together to layer vibrant colours and add depth to the artwork.
The finishing touches: Our artists guide you through highlights, shadowing, and those crucial final details that make the piece 'pop'.
The grand reveal: We step back, drop the tools, and celebrate the completed artwork with a team photo and a group debrief.
Cleanup & wrap-up: No stress for you—we handle all the equipment and leave the site spotless while you head off for team drinks!

Local culture

Recife is a city defined by its water and its walls. From the historic streets of Recife Antigo to the colourful murals that line the walls near the Capibaribe River, street art is woven into the city's soul. The local 'Graffiti de Recife' scene is world-renowned for its unique blend of traditional Pernambuco folk art motifs and modern urban styles. When your team joins us, you aren't just spraying paint; you're connecting with a creative lineage that includes legendary local talents and vibrant community projects. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Recife is often called the "Brazilian Venice" because of its many bridges and canals? Many of the best street art spots are actually best viewed from the water or the walkways spanning the historic district! 🚣‍♂️
