The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your after-school programme in Aarhus? Beyond just being fun, it’s a powerful educational tool that resonates with young people today.

  • Boosts confidence: Seeing a large-scale artwork come to life gives students a massive sense of achievement.
  • Encourages teamwork: Many of our projects involve collaborative murals where communication is key.
  • Safe expression: We provide a legal and controlled outlet for urban expression, teaching the difference between art and vandalism.
  • Professional guidance: Learn from real street artists who live and breathe the culture in Denmark.
  • Physical activity: It gets kids moving, using their hands, and working away from digital screens.
  • Stress relief: The rhythmic nature of spray painting is famously therapeutic for teenagers.

Looking for other options? We also offer workshops for schools, kids parties, or even company events if the teachers want to join in! We also operate in Copenhagen, Odense, Aalborg, and Esbjerg.

Step by step

  1. Intro and safety: We start with a brief history of street art and go over the essential safety rules and equipment.
  2. Spray technique 101: Students learn the basics of how to hold the can, control pressure, and create different line widths.
  3. Concept sketching: Every participant grabs a marker and paper to sketch out their ideas and colour schemes before hitting the wall.
  4. First outlines: Our artists help the kids transfer their sketches to the large-scale surface using light 'ghost' lines.
  5. Filling in: This is where the colour happens! Students learn how to fill in their shapes evenly and blend colours together.
  6. Cutting and outlines: We teach how to use dark outlines to make the artwork pop and cover any messy edges.
  7. Highlights and details: Adding that final 'shine' and little details that make a piece of graffiti look professional.
  8. Final photo-op: We finish by taking group photos of the masterwork, perfect for the school newsletter or social media.
  9. Clean up: We ensure the area is left tidy and students are properly cleaned up after their creative explosion.

Local culture

Street art in Aarhus

Aarhus is a city that breathes culture, from the iconic rainbow walkway at ARoS to the hidden murals tucked away in its winding side streets. Our graffiti after school in Aarhus sessions tap into this local creative energy. We don't just teach kids how to paint; we connect them to the urban fabric of the city. We often take inspiration from the local street art scene found near Godsbanen, a hub for alternative culture in the heart of Aarhus. By participating in our workshops, students become part of the city's living artistic history, learning in the same spaces that have inspired generations of Danish urban artists. It is a truly "Aarhusian" experience that celebrates local identity through global art forms.

Pricing

Our graffiti workshops are competitively priced to suit school budgets and youth group funding. Prices typically range from kr200 to kr450 per person.

Please note that the final price depends on the total number of participants, the duration of the workshop, and the specific materials required for your project. We believe in transparency and trust, which is why we offer a no upfront payment policy—you only pay after the workshop is finished.
