Welcome to Blida’s premier creative solution for community engagement! Our graffiti anti-vandalism program isn't about stopping art; it’s about redirecting that raw, urban energy into something spectacular and legal. Known as the 'City of Roses', Blida has a beautiful aesthetic that we want to enhance through vibrant, respectful street art. Our workshops provide a platform for youth, students, and teams to learn the professional techniques of graffiti from seasoned artists. By teaching the 'how' and 'where' of street art, we help transform potential vandalism into stunning community murals that locals actually want to see. We believe that when people are given the tools and a legal space to express themselves, the results are nothing short of transformative. Ready to make your mark?

The experience

Why choose our anti-vandalism experience in the City of Roses? It’s more than just painting; it’s about pride, ownership, and skill-building. Here is why our workshops are a hit:

  • Channel creativity: We turn 'tagging' into talent by teaching the complex art forms behind the spray can. 💡
  • Community pride: Participants feel a sense of ownership over theirs murals, making them less likely to vandalise other areas. 🏗️
  • Professional kit: We use top-tier gear, ensuring everyone looks and feels like a real street artist. 🎨
  • Expert mentors: Learn from artists who have spent years perfecting their craft on legal walls across the globe. 🎤
  • Zero risk: With our 'pay after' policy and backup artists, your event in Blida is guaranteed to happen and be awesome. 🏆

Step by step

  1. Introduction and history: We kick things off with a chat about street art culture and the legal boundaries that separate art from vandalism.
  2. Safety briefing: Everyone gets geared up with masks and gloves while we explain how to handle the equipment safely.
  3. Mastering the nozzle: Participants learn 'can control'—how distance, pressure, and angle change the lines on the wall.
  4. Sketching the vision: We move from ideas to paper (or digital tablets), planning out a mural that carries a positive message for Blida.
  5. Basic techniques: Practice making fades, drips, and sharp outlines on our practice surfaces.
  6. The big build: The group works together to fill in the large areas of the main mural, learning the importance of collaboration.
  7. Fine detailing: Our artists guide you through adding the highlights and shadows that make the artwork pop.
  8. The final reveal: We step back to admire the finished piece and take group photos with your legal masterpiece!

Local culture

Street art in Blida

Blida, nestled at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, has always been a hub of culture and natural beauty. From the historic Place du 1er Novembre to the lush greenery of Chréa, the city deserves art that reflects its vibrant soul. Street art in Blida is evolving, and our program aims to ensure it grows in a way that respects the city's unique architectural heritage. We often draw inspiration from the local flora—meaning you might see a few 'graffiti roses' popping up in our sessions!

Fun fact: Blida is world-famous for its orange and rose gardens, which is why we often encourage our workshop participants to use a 'floral' colour palette of bright oranges and deep pinks to honour the city's nickname! 🌹
