Do the kids need any previous drawing or painting experience?

Absolutely! No prior artistic skills are needed for our school holiday workshops in Győr. Our professional artists break down the process into easy-to-follow steps, from holding the can to master layering. We focus on the 'fun' in functional art, ensuring every participant feels like a pro by the end of the session. It is all about expression and trying something new!

Is the graffiti workshop safe for children and teenagers?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality face masks, disposable gloves, and protective ponchos to keep clothes clean. Our spray paints are selected for their quality, and we always conduct workshops in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially equipped spaces. Our instructors are trained to supervise the use of equipment, ensuring a safe, creative environment for all ages.

What should my child wear to the graffiti workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable 'play clothes' and old trainers that you don't mind getting a little bit of paint on. While we provide protective gear like ponchos and gloves, graffiti is a messy art form and accidents can happen! It’s best to leave the designer gear at home so the kids can focus entirely on their masterpiece without worry.

How long does the graffiti session in Győr last?

A standard school holiday workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. This includes the initial safety briefing, sketching out designs, practicing spray techniques, and finally, the main event where they create their big piece. We find this is the perfect 'sweet spot' to keep energy levels high and creativity flowing without anyone getting tired.

What is the minimum age for a workshop participant?

Our school holiday programs are generally designed for children aged 8 and up. This ensures they have the physical strength to press the spray nozzles and the focus to follow the artist's instructions. For teenagers, we ramp up the complexity of the techniques to keep them challenged and engaged. If you have younger kids, just let us know and we can adapt!

What happens if it rains on the day of our outdoor workshop?

While we love the sunshine of the 'City of Meetings', we have backup plans for rainy days. If the weather doesn't play ball, we can often move the workshop to a sheltered outdoor area or an indoor space using water-based, low-odour spray cans. We also have a pool of backup artists, so your booking is always secure regardless of circumstances.

Can the participants take their artwork home after the session?

You sure can! Depending on the specific workshop package you choose, participants can either work on a large communal wall or create their own individual masterpiece on a canvas or wooden board. If they work on a board or canvas, they get to take their unique piece of Győr street art home to hang on their bedroom wall!

Local culture

Győr is famously known as the City of Rivers and the City of Meetings, but it also has a growing appreciation for contemporary urban culture! While the historic centre is filled with stunning baroque architecture, the surrounding areas provide a fantastic canvas for modern creative workshops. Our sessions tap into the same innovative spirit found in the city’s industrial history and its thriving youth scene around the Széchenyi István University. We bring a touch of 'alternative' energy to the heart of Transdanubia, giving local kids a chance to contribute to the city's modern artistic vibe.

Fun Fact: Did you know Győr is situated on the confluence of three rivers? Just like the merging waters, our workshops blend different artistic styles into one amazing experience! 🌊
