Step by step

  1. Intro and history: We start with a cool look at how graffiti evolved from New York subways to Bergen's own street art scene.
  2. Safety briefing: Every camper gets kitted out with professional masks, gloves, and overalls while we explain the golden rules of the spray can.
  3. The first lines: We head to the wall to learn can control, experimenting with distance and pressure to create different line widths.
  4. Lettering basics: Our artists show the kids how to sketch out 'tags' and 'throw-ups', focusing on proportions and style.
  5. Concept design: The group works together or individually to sketch a final masterpiece on paper before moving back to the wall.
  6. Filling and fading: This is where the magic happens! We teach the campers how to blend colours and create smooth gradients.
  7. Outlining and highlights: To make the art pop, we add sharp outlines and white 'shines' that give the piece a 3D effect.
  8. The final reveal: We step back, peel away any tape, and admire the collective mural. It's the perfect moment for a group photo!

Local culture

Street art in Bergen

Bergen isn't just known for the historic Bryggen or the rain; it's a legitimate hub for Norwegian street art. Since the legendary Banksy visited the city years ago, the walls of areas like Sentrum and Møhlenpris have become a canvas for world-class artists. This rich visual culture makes it the perfect backdrop for a graffiti summer camp.

Our workshops often take inspiration from the local "Bergen style," encouraging kids to look at the murals around them with a new perspective. We celebrate the city's creative spirit, showing young participants that art isn't just something found in a museum—it's alive on the streets of Bergen. Whether we are working near the bustling harbour or a quiet community space, the energy of the city fuels our creativity.

Pricing

Our summer camp workshops are designed to be accessible and high-impact. Pricing reflects the number of participants and the duration of the artistic session.

Estimated costs: kr300 – kr650 per person.

We believe in total transparency and trust. That's why we offer a no-upfront-payment policy—you only pay after the workshop is successfully delivered. If you are organising activities for a large youth group or multiple dates across the summer, we offer custom packages to fit your budget.
