Looking for the ultimate creative outlet for youth this summer? Our graffiti summer camp in Stavanger offers an explosion of colour, culture, and character! We transform the traditional summer holiday into a high-octane street art experience where teenagers and kids can ditch the screens and pick up a spray can. Guided by genuine street artists, participants learn the secrets of the trade, from basic tags to complex 3D murals. It’s more than just an art class; it’s a boost of confidence, a lesson in collaboration, and a whole lot of messy, vibrant fun in the heart of Norway’s street art capital. Whether they are budding Picassos or have never drawn a stick figure, our workshops are designed to make every participant feel like a pro. Ready to make your mark?

The experience

Why choose a graffiti camp over a standard sports camp? Because street art empowers kids to express their unique identity in a way nothing else does! 🎨

  • Boosts confidence: Seeing a 2-metre tall mural you created is an incredible self-esteem builder for any teenager.
  • Teamwork in action: Large murals require communication and collaboration — essential skills for life! 🤝
  • Safe & professional: We use top-tier safety gear and professional artists who prioritise a positive atmosphere.
  • Zero pressure: No grades, no "right or wrong"—just pure creative exploration and fun. ✨
  • Takeaway art: Participants can often create their own individual canvases to take home and hang on their bedroom wall.
  • No-risk booking: No upfront payment is required, and we have backup artists ready to go! 🏆

Step by step

  1. Intro & inspiration: We start with a high-energy kick-off, showing the kids the history of street art and exploring different styles to get those creative juices flowing.
  2. Safety briefing: Before touching a can, we suit up! Everyone gets a pro mask, overalls, and gloves, followed by a quick lesson on how to use the equipment safely.
  3. The tag creator: Participants head to our digital tag creator or use paper to brainstorm their unique artist name and signature style.
  4. Mastering the nozzle: We move to the practice wall to learn 'can control'—understanding how distance, pressure, and speed change the lines on the wall.
  5. Sketching the mural: The group works together or individually to sketch out a large-scale concept, focusing on layout, proportions, and 'the vibe'.
  6. The first layer: Time to fill! We start with the background colours, learning how to blend and fade different shades for a professional look.
  7. Outlining & detailing: This is where the magic happens. We add the sharp outlines, highlights, and 3D effects that make the graffiti pop off the surface.
  8. The big reveal: We take a step back, snap some photos of the finished masterpiece, and celebrate the incredible work the youth have achieved together.

Local culture

Street art in Stavanger

Stavanger isn't just a city of oil and fjords; it is globally recognised as a mecca for street art, thanks to the world-famous Nuart Festival. Walking through the streets of Østre Bydel, you’re surrounded by massive murals that breathe life into the urban landscape. Our summer camps tap into this local heritage, giving the youth of Stavanger the chance to contribute to the city's artistic pulse. We often host our sessions near iconic locations or at legal urban walls where the spirit of street art is strongest.

Fun fact: Stavanger was one of the first cities in the world to have a dedicated 'street art bus' line, proving that here, art really is for everyone, everywhere!

Pricing

Our Stavanger summer camp packages are affordable and all-inclusive. We believe every young person should have the chance to experience the joy of street art.
