Do the children need any previous art experience?

Absolutely! No prior painting experience is required for our Geneva summer camp workshops. Our professional artists are experts at breaking down complex techniques into simple, easy-to-follow steps. We guide every student from the very first spray to the final masterpiece, ensuring everyone feels like a pro by the end of the week. It’s all about building confidence and having a blast with new friends in a supportive environment.

What safety measures are in place during the workshop?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality face masks, protective gloves, and overalls to keep everyone safe and clean. We use low-odour, professional-grade spray paints and always conduct our sessions in well-ventilated outdoor areas or large open spaces. Our instructors are trained in safety protocols and provide a thorough briefing before any cans are shaken, ensuring a worry-free creative experience for both parents and kids.

What should my child wear to the graffiti camp?

We recommend wearing comfortable 'play clothes' and old trainers that you don't mind getting a little bit of paint on. While we provide full protective gear including overalls, graffiti can sometimes be a messy business! It's best to come prepared for an active day of painting. Don't forget a sun hat and sunscreen, as much of our creative magic happens outdoors under the beautiful Geneva sun.

What is the age limit for the summer camp activities?

For our summer camp programmes in Geneva, we generally recommend a minimum age of 8 years old. This ensures that the participants have the physical strength to handle the spray cans and the focus to follow the safety instructions. We tailor our teaching style and project complexity to suit different age groups, making sure the teenagers are challenged while the younger kids have plenty of guided fun.

Are all the materials included in the cost?

Everything is included in the price! We provide all the professional spray cans in a rainbow of colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective clothing, and the surfaces we paint on—whether that’s large shared murals or individual canvases to take home. You don't need to bring any supplies at all; just bring your energy and your imagination, and we will take care of the rest.

What happens if it rains during a scheduled session?

In the true spirit of street art, we don't let a bit of rain stop the fun! We have access to several covered outdoor locations across Geneva where we can stay dry while still enjoying the fresh air. If the weather is really against us, we can move certain activities indoors using water-based markers and design techniques, or reschedule to a better day. We always ensure the creative flow continues!

How much does a graffiti summer camp session cost?

Our pricing typically ranges from CHF40 to CHF85 per person. This varies based on the length of the program, the number of participants, and the specific materials used (such as taking home a custom canvas). For summer camps and large youth organisations, we offer competitive group rates. The best way to get an accurate price is to use our online Cost Calculator or request a custom quote for your specific dates.

Why should we choose Graffitifun over other providers?

We are proud to be one of the most reliable providers in Switzerland. We have a dedicated team of backup artists ready to step in if an instructor is unwell, meaning your event is never at risk of cancellation. Furthermore, you don’t have to pay a penny upfront—you only pay after the workshop is complete and you’re 100% satisfied. We’re committed to making your Geneva summer camp experience stress-free.

The experience

Why settle for an ordinary summer when you can give your campers an extraordinary creative edge? Graffiti art is more than just painting; it's about confidence, teamwork, and finding one's style. Here’s why our Geneva workshops are a hit:

Expert Mentorship: Learn directly from active, professional graffiti artists who live and breathe street culture. 🎤
Risk-Free Booking: No upfront payment is required! Pay only after the workshop when you’re happy with the results.
Zero Hassle: We bring everything to you—from the spray cans to the protective gear—so you can focus on the fun.
Team Spirit: Our collaborative mural projects are the ultimate ice-breaker for kids from different backgrounds. 🤝
Inclusive Fun: Whether they're a budding Picasso or have never held a brush, every student leaves with something they're proud of.
Reliability: With our network of backup artists, we never cancel. Your summer schedule is safe with us! 🏆

Step by step

Intro and safety briefing: We kick things off with a high-energy welcome! Our pros explain the rules of the 'yard' and show everyone how to use the protective gear and spray cans safely.
Sketching the vision: Before we touch the cans, we grab paper and pens. Kids learn how to design their own 'tag' or 'piece', focusing on letter structure and character design.
Mastering the nozzle: Time for the 'Cap Clinic'. We teach the different types of nozzles and how to control pressure to create thin lines, fat fills, and cool fading effects.
Practice on the wall: Everyone gets a practice space to get a feel for the spray. It’s all about muscle memory and getting over that first-timer nervousness!
Outlining the masterpiece: Now the real work begins. Whether it's an individual canvas or a giant group mural, the kids start by sketching their design onto the surface.
Filling with colour: This is where the magic happens! We guide the students through colour theory, teaching them how to blend shades and make their work pop.
The finishing touches: We add highlights, shadows, and those all-important clean outlines to make the artwork look professional and sharp.
Photo op and gallery walk: We celebrate the hard work! Each participant presents their art, and we take plenty of photos for the ultimate summer camp memory book.
Clean up and wrap: We teach the importance of 'leaving no trace'—except for the awesome art, of course! We pack up the gear and hand out any take-home masterpieces.

Local culture

Geneva might be known for its prestigious watches and international diplomacy, but beneath the surface lies a thriving urban art scene that’s perfect for inspiring the next generation. From the legal walls at Les Grottes to the colourful corners of Plainpalais, the city is a canvas waiting to be explored. Our workshops draw inspiration from the local flair of Eaux-Vives and the lakeside vibes, encouraging kids to incorporate Geneva’s unique landmarks into their designs. Whether they’re stylising a 'Jet d'Eau' character or sketching the Jura mountains in neon, the local culture is baked into every session. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Geneva has several 'legal walls' where street artists are encouraged to paint freely? It’s a city that truly respects the evolution of urban art as a legitimate form of expression!
