The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your youth programme in Lahti? It’s more than just painting; it’s an experience that sticks with them forever. Here is why it’s a camp highlight:

  • Unleash pure creativity: No "right or wrong"—just freedom of expression in a bold, tactile medium. 🔥
  • Total inclusivity: You don't need to be a "traditional" artist to be great at graffiti; it appeals to everyone! 🎤
  • Confidence boost: Seeing a large-scale piece come to life gives kids an incredible sense of achievement. 🏆
  • Professional vibes: We use the same gear the pros use, making the kids feel like real street artists. ✨
  • Team building: Our communal mural projects require communication, planning, and shared success. 🤝
  • Zero stress for organisers: We bring everything, set up, and clean up. You just provide the campers! 💪

Step by step

  1. Intro & safety: We start with a high-energy kick-off! Our artists explain the history of street art and go over the essential safety rules and gear.
  2. Mastering the can: Kids learn the basics of "can control"—how to hold the spray, how to adjust pressure, and how to create different line widths.
  3. Sketching the vision: Every great piece starts with a plan. We guide the group through sketching their ideas on paper before moving to the wall.
  4. Outline & layout: It's time to make a mark! Participants start sketching their designs onto the canvas or wall using light paint colours.
  5. The fill-in: This is where the magic happens! We teach the kids how to apply vibrant colours and blend shades for a professional look.
  6. Cutting & detailing: We show them how to use "fat caps" and "skinny caps" to sharpen outlines and add those crisp, professional details.
  7. The final flourish: From highlights to "bubbles" and 3D effects, we add the finishing touches that make the artwork pop.
  8. Photo op & cleanup: We celebrate the hard work with a group photo session and ensure the site is left tidy and professional.
