Is the graffiti workshop safe for people with special needs?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls. Our artists are trained to supervise groups with various needs, ensuring everyone uses the equipment correctly. We also choose workshop locations in Lahti that offer plenty of ventilation and space, making sure the environment is comfortable and secure for all participants throughout the creative process.

Can you accommodate specific physical or learning disabilities?

We believe street art is for everyone! Our workshops are designed to be inclusive, regardless of physical or cognitive abilities. We can adapt our teaching methods, provide specialized equipment if needed, and choose accessible locations. Whether a participant wants to dive deep into technical spray painting or simply enjoy the sensation of adding colour to a wall, we make sure they feel supported and successful.

How long does a typical workshop last?

A typical special needs graffiti session in Lahti lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for maintaining engagement without causing fatigue. However, we are completely flexible! If your group prefers a shorter, high-energy burst of creativity or a more relaxed, slower pace with frequent breaks, just let us know and we will tailor the schedule accordingly.

What materials are included in the session?

We provide everything you need to become a street artist for the day. This includes a wide range of premium spray cans in every colour imaginable, protective clothing to keep your outfits clean, and the 'canvas' (either a temporary wall or individual boards). You don't need to bring any supplies at all—just your enthusiasm and a desire to create something amazing!

Do participants need prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are perfect for complete beginners. Our professional graffiti artists are experts at breaking down the process into simple, easy-to-follow steps. We focus on the joy of creation rather than technical perfection. We've helped thousands of people who have never touched a spray can before create vibrant, impressive pieces of art they can be proud of.

How does the booking and payment process work?

Booking is easy and stress-free. You can start by using our online cost calculator to get an instant estimate, or simply send us a message with your group size and preferred dates. We don't require any upfront payment—you only pay after the workshop is completed. This ensures you are 100% satisfied with the experience before any money changes hands.

Step by step

Warm welcome and intro: We meet the group at our Lahti location, introduce our professional artists, and get everyone excited for the day.
Gear up for safety: We help every participant put on their protective overalls, gloves, and masks to ensure a clean and safe experience.
The 'tag' brainstorm: Participants learn about the history of graffiti and start sketching their own unique nicknames or designs on paper.
Spray can basics: Our artists demonstrate how to hold the can, control the pressure, and create different lines and effects safely.
Practice session: Everyone gets a chance to test their skills on a practice surface, getting used to the feel of the spray and the vibrant colours.
Creating the masterpiece: Now for the main event! The group works on a large-scale mural or individual canvases, applying their new skills to create a finished work of art.
The big reveal: We step back to admire the collective work, take plenty of photos, and celebrate the incredible creativity of the group.
Cleanup and wrap-up: We handle all the messy bits, leaving the group with great memories and a sense of pride in their artistic achievement.

Local culture

Lahti has a long-standing reputation as a city of design and innovation, and its street art scene is no exception. From the industrial charm of the Mukkula district to the creative vibes near the Sibelius Hall, the city provides a fantastic backdrop for urban art. We love bringing our workshops to Lahti because the local community truly appreciates the power of visual storytelling.

Fun Fact: Did you know Lahti was the European Green Capital in 2021? We honour this spirit by ensuring our workshops are as eco-conscious as possible, using high-quality paints and responsible disposal methods! 🌿

While you're here, you might also want to check out our graffiti programs in other Finnish cities like Helsinki, Espoo, Tampere, and Turku.
