Is the graffiti workshop in Hamburg accessible for wheelchair users?

Absolutely! At Graffitifun, we specialise in adaptive art experiences. Our workshops are designed to be inclusive, with accessible locations in Hamburg and professional artists who are experienced in working with diverse sensory and physical needs. We use a variety of tools, including lower-pressure cans and different cap sizes, to ensure everyone can enjoy the thrill of creating street art without any barriers.

How do you handle safety and sensory sensitivities?

Safety and comfort are our top priorities. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls. For participants with sensory sensitivities, we offer quieter spray caps and ensure the workspace is well-ventilated and not overcrowded. Our team is trained to provide a supportive, low-pressure environment where everyone feels safe to express themselves at their own pace.

Do participants need any prior art skills or experience?

No artistic experience is needed at all! Our Hamburg street art coaches are experts at breaking down the process into simple, manageable steps. We focus on the 'fun' in Graffitifun, encouraging participants to enjoy the tactile experience of spraying paint and seeing immediate results. It’s all about expression and having a great time, not creating a 'perfect' masterpiece.

How long does the graffiti workshop usually last?

A standard special needs session in Hamburg typically lasts between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. This includes time for introductions, a safety briefing, learning basic techniques, and the main creative session. We are very flexible and can adjust the pace or take breaks whenever needed, ensuring the energy levels remain positive and the experience stays enjoyable for everyone involved.

What materials are included in the workshop package?

We provide everything needed for a successful art session! This includes a wide range of premium spray paint colours, various nozzle types, protective clothing (aprons/suits, gloves, and masks), and the surfaces to paint on. You just need to show up in clothes you don't mind getting a bit of dust on and bring your creative energy. We handle all the setup and the messy cleanup afterwards!

Where in Hamburg do the workshops take place?

We can host workshops at various accessible street art spots around Hamburg, or we can bring the experience to your specific location if it meets safety requirements. If we come to you, we use portable 'graffiti walls' or canvases and ensure full floor protection. Whether it's a community centre in Altona or a school in St. Pauli, we make it work for your group.

What is your booking and payment policy?

Booking is easy and flexible. Since we understand that plans can change, we don't require upfront payments—you can pay after the workshop is completed. Simply use our online cost calculator for an estimate or contact us for a custom quote. We also have backup artists available to ensure your event in Hamburg goes ahead even if an emergency arises.

The experience

Choosing a Graffitifun experience means choosing an activity where "participation" is the priority. We’ve spent years refining our workshops to ensure they are empowering and stress-free. 🚀

Patience and Passion: Our Hamburg artists aren't just talented painters; they are great communicators who love sharing their craft with everyone. 💪
Customisable Pace: No rushing here! We move at the speed that is comfortable for the participants, with plenty of breaks.
Sensory Engagement: The tactile feel of the cans, the vibrant colours, and the visual impact make this a fantastic sensory experience. 🌈
Zero Pressure: There are no mistakes in graffiti—only "happy accidents" and layers of new creativity!
Reliability: With our backup artist system, you don't have to worry about last-minute cancellations ruining your planned outing.

Step by step

Warm welcome and intro: Meet your friendly local artist at the Hamburg workshop site for a relaxed introduction to the world of street art.
Safety first: We get everyone geared up in protective suits, gloves, and masks while explaining how to use the equipment safely.
The 'Can' basics: Participants learn how to hold the spray can and practice basic movements like making dots, lines, and simple shapes.
Sketching the vision: Using markers or light spray, we help participants sketch out their ideas or a group theme on the wall or canvas.
Colour explosion: This is the fun part! Everyone picks their favourite colours and starts filling in the designs under expert guidance.
Adding the 'Pop': Our artists help participants add outlines or highlights to make their graffiti artwork really stand out.
Personalised tags: Everyone gets to create their own 'tag' or signature—a classic street art tradition!
Photo session: We capture the proud moments and the final colourful masterpiece with a group photo session.
The big reveal: Celebrate the achievement together before we handle the cleanup, leaving you with great memories and digital copies of your art.

Duration: Usually 1.5 to 2.5 hours, but we are happy to stay longer if the group is on a roll! 🎨

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Hamburg has a soul built on maritime history and a fiercely independent street art scene. From the iconic murals in St. Pauli to the creative hubs in Ottensen, the city is a living gallery. Our workshops tap into this 'Moin Moin' spirit, offering a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that reflects the city's diverse culture. ⚓️

Fun Fact: Did you know that Hamburg's Gängeviertel was saved by artists? This historic area is now a vibrant centre for culture and street art, proving that creativity can truly change a city!

We take inspiration from the Elbe’s movement and the Harbour’s industrial grit to help our participants create art that feels truly 'Hamburg'. Our team knows the best spots where accessibility meets inspiration, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable Elbe-side art experience.

Pricing

Our Hamburg graffiti experiences are competitively priced to ensure everyone can join the fun. Our rates typically range from €30 to €65 per person, depending on the number of participants and the specific setup required for your group.

Because every special needs program is unique, we prefer to talk it through and give you a price that fits your budget and needs perfectly. No upfront payment is required — you only pay once the spray-painting fun is over! 🏆
