Is the graffiti workshop really suitable for people with disabilities?

Absolutely! We believe art is for everyone. Our workshops in Dortmund are specifically designed to be inclusive. We use accessible locations, and our artists are trained to adapt their teaching styles to various physical, cognitive, or emotional needs. We focus on what every participant *can* do, ensuring a supportive and stress-free environment where everyone can express themselves through the vibrant medium of graffiti.

What safety measures do you have in place during the session?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality FFP3 masks, gloves, and protective overalls to all participants. Our spray paints are selected for quality, and we conduct sessions in well-ventilated outdoor or large indoor spaces. Our professional artists supervise the group at all times, ensuring that tools are used correctly and that everyone feels comfortable and secure throughout the creative process.

How long does a typical workshop last?

Our standard special needs workshops in Dortmund typically last between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for maintaining engagement without causing fatigue. However, we are completely flexible! If your group needs a shorter session with more breaks, or a longer, more relaxed pace, just let us know. We plan the timing based on your specific requirements.

Design, spray, and enjoy — what materials are included?

We provide everything you need! This includes a wide variety of spray paint colours, caps (nozzles), protective gear (masks, suits, gloves), and the 'canvas' (which could be a wall, a wooden board, or individual canvases). You don't need to bring any supplies at all. We just recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little dusty or paint-splattered.

Do we need any prior artistic experience or skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our artist coaches will guide you through every step, from holding the can to creating simple shapes and 'filling' colours. We focus on the joy of movement and the magic of seeing colours appear on a surface. Whether you can draw a straight line or not, you'll leave with a piece of art you're proud of.

How does the payment process work? Do I pay upfront?

We want your booking experience to be as stress-free as the workshop itself! You don't need to pay anything upfront. We trust our clients and prefer that you pay after the workshop is completed and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. We accept various payment methods, and our team will provide a clear invoice once the colourful fun is over.

What happens if it rains or an artist is unavailable?

Dortmund weather can be unpredictable, but we’ve got you covered! We always try to have a backup plan. If we are scheduled for an outdoor session and it rains, we can often move to a covered location or reschedule. Additionally, we have backup artists on standby for every booking, so even if an instructor falls ill, your event will proceed as planned.

Sensory Engagement: The sound of the can, the smell (safety-filtered!), and the vibrant colours provide a rich sensory experience. 🌈
Confidence Booster: Seeing a large-scale artwork come to life boosts self-esteem and provides a huge sense of achievement. 🏆

Complete Safety: We provide top-tier protective equipment so everyone can focus entirely on being creative.
Total Flexibility: We adapt the pace, the tools, and the location to fit the specific needs of your participants.

Local culture

Dortmund is a city that wears its heart on its sleeve—and its art on its walls! From the iconic "U" Tower to the industrial charm of the Union Quarter, street art is woven into the city's DNA. Our workshops tap into this local "Ruhrpott" spirit of community and hard work, turned into creative play. We often host sessions near the vibrant artistic hubs of the city, where the raw, industrial backdrop provides the perfect inspiration for bold graffiti.

Fun Fact: Did you know Dortmund is home to some of the largest legal graffiti walls in North Rhine-Westphalia? The city has a long history of supporting urban art as a way to revitalise former industrial spaces! 🏗️

Pricing

Every creative journey is unique, and so is our pricing. Our workshop experiences in Dortmund generally range from €30 to €65 per person. This variation accounts for the length of the session, the materials used (like individual canvases to keep), and the number of artist coaches required to ensure everyone gets the support they deserve.

We believe in transparency and flexibility, which is why we don't require any upfront payments. You only pay once the workshop is done and you're happy with the results! 🎉
