Is the graffiti workshop safe for all charity participants?

Absolutely! We provide high-quality protective suits, gloves, and specialised masks to all participants. Our professional artists lead with a 'safety-first' mindset, ensuring everyone uses the spray cans correctly. We also choose well-ventilated outdoor spaces or suitable indoor venues in Dortmund to ensure a healthy environment for your supporters. You can focus entirely on the fundraising while we keep the creative process safe and tidy.

Do we need any previous art experience to join?

The beauty of street art is that it is for everyone! No prior drawing or painting skills are needed. Our Dortmund-based artists will guide your guests through the basics, from holding the can to creating clean lines and gradients. We find that the 'raw' nature of graffiti actually helps people relax and have more fun than traditional art forms, making it the perfect inclusive activity for a fundraiser.

Where in Dortmund does the charity workshop take place?

We are incredibly flexible! For charity events in Dortmund, we can host the workshop at a location of your choice—perhaps a community centre, a park (with permission), or your own facility. If you don't have a venue, we can help source a cool, urban spot that fits the vibe. We bring all the necessary equipment, boards, and protective gear directly to you.

How long does a typical fundraising session last?

Our standard charity workshops usually run between 1.5 and 3 hours. This includes the introduction, safety briefing, technique practice, and the creation of the final masterpiece. However, for larger festivals or fundraising galas, we can adapt the format into a 'drop-in' style station that runs all afternoon, allowing hundreds of people to contribute a few strokes to a giant collaborative mural.

Do you provide all the paint and equipment?

While you are welcome to suggest a theme that aligns with your charity's mission, we generally provide a vast palette of professional spray paint colours. For specific branding or logo colours, just let us know in advance! We use high-pressure cans for filling and low-pressure cans for detail work, ensuring your finished charity mural looks professional and vibrant, ready to be auctioned or displayed.

Can the final artwork be auctioned off for the charity?

Yes, this is one of our most popular options for fundraisers! We can facilitate a session where your guests create a large-scale mural on mobile wooden panels. Once finished, these panels can be auctioned off to donors or permanently installed in your headquarters as a vibrant reminder of the event. It’s a fantastic way to turn a fun afternoon into a long-term financial contribution for your cause.

Local culture

Dortmund is a city that breathes transformation, from its industrial roots to its modern status as a cultural hub. This spirit of reinvention makes it the perfect backdrop for a graffiti charity event. We take inspiration from the vibrant street art scenes found in the Unionviertel or near the iconic U-Tower. Dortmunders are known for their heart and community spirit (especially when it comes to supporting local causes!), and our workshops tap directly into that local pride.

Fun Fact: Dortmund is home to some of the largest legal graffiti walls in the Ruhr area, proving that this city truly embraces urban art as a force for good! ✨
