What kind of spray cans and safety gear do you provide?

For our outdoor parties in Dortmund, we use professional-grade spray cans specifically designed for street art. These provide excellent coverage and vibrant colours that look amazing on the wall. To keep you clean, we provide high-quality protective overalls, gloves, and specialized masks. We focus on premium, low-pressure cans that are easier for beginners to control, ensuring everyone walks away with a piece of art they are proud of.

Do we need any previous artistic experience to join?

No prior experience is needed at all! Our Dortmund workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our professional graffiti artists will guide you through everything from basic 'tagging' to advanced 'fading' techniques. Whether you think you have a creative bone in your body or not, we guarantee you'll be surprised by what you can create. It is all about the vibe, the energy, and having a blast with your mates.

What happens if it rains on the day of our outdoor workshop?

Dortmund's weather can be unpredictable, but we've got you covered. If the forecast looks rainy, we can usually pivot to one of our covered outdoor locations or arrange professional tent structures. We track the weather closely leading up to your event. If the conditions are truly impossible, we offer flexible rescheduling options or an indoor alternative so your outdoor party doesn't lose its spark!

Can you host the outdoor party at a location of our choice?

Absolutely! While we have amazing dedicated spots near the city centre, we are fully mobile. If you have a private outdoor space, a backyard, or a company car park in Dortmund (and the permission to use it!), we can bring the entire graffiti setup to you. We'll handle the protective floor covering and setup; you just provide the wall or we can bring mobile wooden canvases for you to paint on.

How long does a typical graffiti party last?

Our outdoor party workshops typically last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the creation of a large-scale collective mural or individual pieces. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for keeping the energy high without getting tired. If you are looking for a shorter 'teaser' or a longer masterclass, just let us know and we can adjust.

Is there an age limit for the participants?

The minimum age for our public outdoor workshops is usually 6 years old, as the spray cans require a bit of hand strength. For outdoor parties like bachelor-dos or company events, it's perfect for all adults. We use non-toxic, water-based paints for younger kids if requested, but for the authentic Dortmund street art experience, our standard pro-cans are used by most groups under artist supervision.

Do we need to pay in advance and what are the payment options?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our 'Play Now, Pay Later' policy. You don't need to pay anything upfront to secure your date in Dortmund. Following your epic outdoor party, we’ll send over the invoice which you can pay via bank transfer. We believe in our service so much that we want you to be 100% satisfied before we settle the bill. It makes booking completely stress-free!

Step by step

The meetup: We gather at our vibrant Dortmund street art location where your personal graffiti mentor is waiting.
Gear up: Put on your protective suits and gloves. Safety first, but let's make it look like a pro film crew!
Can control 101: Learn the basics of how to hold the can, control the pressure, and create different line widths.
Sketching the vision: Use chalk or light spray to outline your masterpiece on the wall or canvas.
Fill it in: This is where the colour happens. We'll show you how to blend, fade, and pop those vibrant Dortmund vibes.
The outline & highlights: Add the 'cuts' and highlights that make your graffiti truly stand out and look three-dimensional.
Group photo: The final reveal! We'll take high-quality photos of your group in front of your finished street art.
The wrap-up: Take off the gear and admire your work. You've officially left your mark on the city!
