How long does a typical graffiti birthday party last?

Most kids' birthday parties in Dortmund last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. This provides the perfect balance of learning the spray techniques and having enough time to complete a masterpiece without the younger artists getting too tired. If you have a larger group or want a more intensive session, we can easily extend the duration to 3 hours upon request.

What is the minimum age for the children?

We generally recommend our graffiti workshops for children aged 6 and up. At this age, they have the physical strength to press the spray caps and the coordination to follow the safety instructions. We use special low-pressure cans for younger guests to make it easier and safer for them to control their artistic strokes while having a blast.

Is the spray paint safe for children to use?

Safety is our absolute priority! We provide high-quality breathing masks, disposable gloves, and protective overalls for every child. Our professional artists supervise the group constantly, ensuring everyone follows the safety protocols. The paints we use are professional grade but handled with care in a managed outdoor or well-ventilated environment to ensure a worry-free experience for parents.

What happens if it rains on the day of the party?

Dortmund weather can be unpredictable, but we’ve got you covered! We have access to various sheltered or indoor locations across the city. If the weather looks truly terrible, our backup artists and flexible planning mean we can often move the party to a dry spot or reschedule. We always aim to keep the paint flowing, rain or shine!

Do the children get to keep their artwork?

The best part is that every child gets to take their creation home! Usually, the kids work on high-quality canvases or sturdy cardboard panels. Once the paint is dry (which happens quickly), these make for the ultimate party bag gift—a unique piece of street art they created themselves to hang on their bedroom wall as a memory of your epic party.

What should the birthday guests wear?

We suggest the kids wear 'old' clothes and sneakers. While we provide full-body protective suits and gloves, graffiti can be messy, and stray paint has a way of finding its way onto sleeves or shoes. It’s best to wear something that you wouldn't mind getting a little 'artistic' splash on just in case. Comfortable outdoor clothing is always a winning choice.

Do the kids need any prior drawing or art skills?

Absolutely not! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from total beginners to budding mini-Banksys. Our professional artist will guide the group through the basic techniques, from making 'tags' to filling in colours and creating outlines. We focus on fun and creativity, so every child feels like a pro by the end of the session.
