How long does a typical Cologne graffiti birthday party last?

Most kids' birthday workshops in Cologne last between 1.5 and 2 hours. This is the 'sweet spot' where energy levels are high, and every child has enough time to finish their masterpiece without getting tired. If you have a larger group or want to add a specific mural project, we can extend the session to 3 hours to ensure everyone gets plenty of spray time.

Is the paint safe for children and what should they wear?

Safety is our top priority! We provide high-quality masks, gloves, and protective overalls for all participants. Our professional artists are trained to supervise children, ensuring they use the spray cans correctly and safely. We also use low-odour professional paint whenever possible. While we provide protection, we always recommend that kids wear 'play clothes' and old trainers just in case of any stray splashes!

What happens if it rains on the day of the party?

Cologne's weather can be unpredictable, but we've got you covered! We have access to several sheltered legal graffiti spots around the city and indoor studio spaces. If the clouds open up, we can move the party under cover so the creative fun doesn't stop. We'll always touch base with you before the event to confirm the best location based on the forecast.

Do the children get to take their artwork home?

Absolutely! While the kids work together on some techniques, every child gets their own individual workspace or professional canvas to design and paint. The best part? They get to take their unique piece of street art home at the end of the day! It’s the ultimate party bag filler—a custom-made souvenir that looks great on any bedroom wall.

What is the minimum age for a graffiti workshop in Cologne?

We usually recommend a minimum age of 8 years old for our Cologne workshops. This is because the spray cans require a certain amount of finger strength and coordination to operate effectively. However, if you have a slightly younger group, get in touch! We have alternative techniques and smaller cans that can sometimes accommodate younger creative spirits with a bit of extra help.

Does my child need to be good at drawing to enjoy this?

No prior artistic skill is needed at all! Our Cologne-based artists are experts at breaking down the process into simple, easy-to-follow steps. We start with basic 'tagging' and move up to 'pieces'. Most kids are shocked at how cool their work looks after just an hour. It’s all about boosting their confidence and letting them experiment in a supportive, fun environment.

What kind of colours can the kids use during the workshop?

We offer a huge range of colours! From neon pinks and electric blues to classic chrome and bold greens, we bring a vibrant palette to every Cologne birthday party. We make sure there is plenty of paint for everyone to express themselves. If the birthday boy or girl has a specific favourite colour, let us know in advance and we'll make sure to bring extra!

Safety first: Everyone gets geared up in protective suits, gloves, and masks. We teach the 'can-shake' technique!
First lines: Under expert guidance, the kids practice basic spray techniques like dots, lines, and fades on a practice wall.
The masterpiece: Each child moves onto their main canvas or designated wall space to bring their sketch to life with bold colours.
Adding the details: We show them how to use 'fat caps' and 'skinny caps' to add outlines, shadows, and highlights for that 3D look.
The grand reveal: A mini-gallery tour where everyone shows off their work and we take epic group photos for the memories.
