Do I need to be an experienced artist to take part?

Absolutely no prior graffiti experience is needed to join our Cologne training. We designed this professional development course to take you from 'blank canvas' to 'confident instructor' in a single session. Our professional artists will teach you everything from basic can control and line work to complex layering. We focus on teaching techniques that you can easily replicate and explain to your own students in a classroom setting.

Are all the materials and safety gear included?

Yes, we provide all the necessary materials! During the workshop in Cologne, you'll have access to premium spray cans with various nozzles (caps), high-quality canvases or practice walls, and full protective gear. This includes masks, gloves, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. We'll also provide training handouts and digital resources that you can take back to your school to help with your future lesson planning.

How do you handle health and safety during the training?

We completely understand the importance of safety when working with students. A significant portion of our training is dedicated to health and safety protocols. We cover everything from proper ventilation and mask usage to the safe storage of materials. You'll learn how to set up a safe 'graffiti zone' at your school, ensuring that your future art projects are both exciting and 100% compliant with safety standards.

How long does a typical training session last?

Most of our teacher training sessions in Cologne last between 2 to 3 hours. This duration is perfectly balanced to provide enough time for theoretical background, safety briefings, hands-on practice, and a final collaborative piece. If you have a larger faculty group or specific curriculum needs, we can extend the session to include more advanced mural techniques or curriculum integration brainstorming.

Will we learn about the local Cologne street art scene?

Cologne is a city with a rich street art heritage, and we love to incorporate that into our training! Depending on the location of your workshop, we may include a short 'inspiration walk' or discuss local Cologne street art legends. We'll show you how to use your city's local culture as a teaching tool, helping your students connect their art history lessons with the vibrant murals they see in Ehrenfeld.

What is the booking and payment process like?

We make the booking process as stress-free as possible. You don't need to pay anything upfront; you simply pay after the workshop is completed. Once you request a quote, we'll discuss your specific needs and lock in a date. Even better, we always have backup artists on standby, so you never have to worry about a last-minute cancellation ruining your professional development day.
