Do I need prior experience with spray paint?

No prior graffiti experience is necessary. Our Barcelona training is designed for art teachers of all skill levels. We start with the basics—nozzles, pressure, and lines—before moving into complex pieces. We focus on teaching you the techniques so you can confidently pass them on to your students, regardless of your personal artistic background.

Is the workshop safe for a school environment?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality FFP3 masks, gloves, and protective suits for every participant. Our trainers will teach you about proper ventilation, non-toxic paint options, and how to manage a classroom of students with spray cans safely. You'll leave the session with a full health and safety checklist for your school.

Are all materials included in the training?

Yes, we provide all the necessary gear. This includes professional-grade spray paint, a variety of caps (nozzles), protective clothing, and the surfaces we’ll be painting on. We also provide digital resources and teaching manuals that you can take back to your classroom to help structure your future street art lessons.

How long does the teacher training session last?

Our professional development sessions typically last between 2.5 and 4 hours. This allows enough time for a deep dive into the history of street art, hands-on practice, and a dedicated 'pedagogy' session where we discuss how to integrate these skills into the national curriculum or specific school projects.

Where in Barcelona do the training sessions take place?

We are very flexible! We can host the training at one of our vibrant outdoor legal graffiti spots around Barcelona for an authentic experience, or we can bring the entire setup to your school premises. If you have a specific wall in mind at your school, we can even use the training to start a collaborative mural.

What are the educational benefits of teaching graffiti?

Graffiti is an incredible tool for student engagement. It encourages teamwork, boosts confidence in students who might struggle with traditional fine arts, and teaches spatial awareness and scale. Plus, it’s a fantastic way to discuss contemporary social issues and local Barcelona culture through a medium that teenagers actually find exciting and relevant.

Local culture

Barcelona isn't just a city; it's a living, breathing gallery. From the iconic walls of Poblenou to the hidden gems in the Gothic Quarter, the city’s urban landscape is a testament to the power of public art. When you train with us, you're soaking up the same Mediterranean light and creative energy that has inspired world-renowned artists like Pez and El Xupet Negre. We often host our sessions in legal zones where the 'Barna' style of graffiti first flourished, giving you an authentic taste of the local scene. ✨

Fun Fact: Barcelona was once known as the "Graffiti Capital of the World" in the early 2000s. While laws have changed, the creative spirit remains stronger than ever in designated street art parks!

Pricing

Our professional development sessions are affordable and high-impact. Pricing typically ranges from €25 to €50 per person, depending on the number of participants and the specific goals of the training (e.g., if you'd like a permanent mural as part of the session). 🏆

We believe in total transparency and flexibility—that's why we require no upfront payment. You only pay after the workshop is complete and you're 100% satisfied with the experience.
