Do I need any previous graffiti experience to join the training?

Absolutely no prior experience is needed! Our Palma training is designed to take you from a complete beginner to a confident graffiti instructor. We start with the basics of spray can control and safety before moving into complex mural techniques. Our professional artists will guide you every step of the way, ensuring you feel comfortable and empowered to lead your own creative sessions by the end of the course.

Is the spray paint safe to use during the session?

We take safety very seriously. All participants are provided with high-quality FFP3 masks, gloves, and protective overalls to ensure no paint gets on your skin or clothes. We conduct our workshops in well-ventilated outdoor or semi-outdoor spaces across Palma. Our instructors are also trained in first aid and follow strict safety protocols to ensure a 100% safe environment for you and your future students.

What specific skills will I learn for my professional development?

The course covers everything from the history of urban art to technical skills like 'cutting' and 'fading'. Crucially, we focus on the pedagogical side: how to manage a classroom of kids or adults with spray cans, how to plan a curriculum-aligned art lesson, and how to source the best materials locally in Mallorca. You'll leave with a full 'Teacher Toolkit' of resources and lesson plans.

Will I receive a certificate after completing the training?

Yes! Upon successful completion of the Graffitifun Teacher Training, you will receive a professional certificate. This document highlights your competence in spray paint techniques and the safety management of street art workshops. It’s a fantastic addition to your teaching portfolio and is widely recognised by youth centres and schools across Spain as a mark of quality creative training.

How long does the teacher training session usually last?

Generally, our training sessions in Palma last between 2 to 4 hours, depending on the group size and the specific modules you choose. This time includes a mix of theoretical instruction, hands-on practice on our mobile walls, and a final collaborative piece. We can also arrange full-day intensive sessions if you are looking to cover more advanced mural design and project management.

What is your payment policy for these workshops?

We believe in flexibility and trust. You don't need to pay anything upfront to book your training date in Palma. We only ask for payment after the workshop is completed and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. This 'no-risk' booking policy ensures you can plan your professional development with total peace of mind and focus entirely on the creative process.

What should I bring to the training day in Palma?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and old shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on (though we do provide protective gear!). If you have specific curriculum goals or art projects you’re planning for your school, bring those ideas along. We love tailoring our training to your specific needs. Other than that, just bring your energy and a desire to get creative!

Step by step

Intro to the medium: We kick off by exploring the history of street art and the chemistry of spray paint.
First lines and caps: You’ll learn about different 'caps' (nozzles) and how they change the thickness and texture of your lines.
Can control: Master the 'wrist-flick' and learn how to prevent drips while maintaining a steady flow of paint.
Blending and gradients: Our pros show you how to mix colours directly on the wall for that iconic 'fade' look.
The 'Teaching' perspective: We discuss how to break these steps down for your students and manage a classroom environment safely.
Freehand vs. Stencils: Explore different creative methods so you can offer diverse options in your own lessons.
The Masterpiece: Work on a collaborative mural where you apply all your new skills under the Mediterranean sun.
Feedback and certification: We wrap up with a group critique and hand out your professional development certificates.
