Do the participants need any prior drawing or painting experience?

Absolutely! No prior artistic experience is needed to join our youth projects in Palma. Our professional artists are expert mentors who break down complex techniques into simple, manageable steps. We focus on the 'fun' aspect of creation, allowing young people to experiment and find their own style without the pressure of being perfect. It’s all about the journey and the thrill of using a spray can for the first time.

What safety measures do you take during the graffiti workshop?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls to keep clothes clean and lungs safe. Our spray paints are selected for their safety standards, and our instructors provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can. We ensure the environment is well-ventilated and that every young person feels secure and supervised throughout the entire artistic process.

How long does a typical youth graffiti project last?

The standard duration for our youth workshops in Palma de Mallorca is between 1.5 and 3 hours. This timeframe allows for a full experience: from the initial brainstorming and sketching phase to learning can control and finally completing a large-scale mural. We can adjust the timing to fit into a specific youth club schedule or a one-day community festival if required.

Are all the materials included in the price?

Everything is included! We bring the spray cans in a rainbow of colours, caps for different line widths, protective clothing, masks, and the 'canvas' (which could be mobile walls, boards, or even a designated public space). You don't need to worry about a thing; just bring your enthusiasm and perhaps some old shoes you don't mind getting a little dusty while you work.

Can the workshop take place at our own youth centre?

We are incredibly flexible. While we have creative spots outdoors around Mallorca, we can also bring the workshop to your youth centre, school, or community hub. We use mobile graffiti walls that can be set up almost anywhere. If you have a specific wall or space in mind, let us know and we can check the feasibility and permissions required to transform it.

What are the benefits of graffiti for young people?

Graffiti is a powerful tool for self-expression, confidence building, and teamwork. For youth in Palma, it provides a constructive outlet for energy and a way to reclaim their urban environment in a positive, legal way. It teaches patience, planning, and collaborative problem-solving. Plus, seeing a giant, colourful mural they created from scratch gives young people a massive sense of pride and ownership in their community.

The experience

Choosing a Graffitifun project means choosing an experience that resonates long after the paint has dried. Here is why our youth projects in Palma are a hit:

Confidence Boost: There's nothing like seeing your own 3-meter tall artwork to make a teenager feel invincible! 💪
Teamwork in Action: Participants have to communicate and collaborate to ensure the mural looks cohesive and cool.
Local Professional Mentors: Our artists aren't just experts; they're great at connecting with young people and sharing their passion. 🎤
Zero Cancellation Stress: With our backup artist policy, your event is guaranteed to go ahead as planned.
Interactive Tools: Kids can use our Tag Creator before the workshop to get their creative juices flowing! 🏆
Positive Community Impact: We turn dull spots into local landmarks that the youth can truly call their own.

Step by step

Initial briefing: We start with a high-energy intro, meeting the group and discussing the history of street art in Palma.
Idea brainstorming: The youth work together to sketch out concepts, slogans, or characters they want to bring to life.
Safety first: Everyone gets fitted with their protective masks and overalls while we demonstrate safe spray can handling.
Mastering the 'Cap': A hands-on demo where participants learn how different nozzles create thin lines, fat drips, or smooth fades.
Outline and layout: The artists guide the group in sketching the 'skeleton' of the mural onto the wall or boards.
Filling and blending: This is where the magic happens! Participants use vibrant colours to fill in their designs and learn blending techniques.
The finishing touches: We add sharp outlines, highlights, and final details to make the artwork pop.
Group photo and cleanup: We celebrate the masterpiece with a big group photo before packing up our eco-friendly gear.

Local culture

Palma de Mallorca isn't just about sun-soaked beaches and historic architecture; it has a vibrant, pulsing street art heart. From the hidden gems in the winding streets of Sa Gerreria to the larger-than-life murals found in more modern districts, the city is a living gallery. Our workshops tap into this local Mediterranean energy, encouraging youth to draw inspiration from the island's unique light and its blend of traditional and contemporary culture. 🏝️

Fun Fact: Did you know that Palma hosts various urban art events where local and international artists transform forgotten walls into masterpieces? It's the perfect backdrop for young people to discover that graffiti is a respected form of contemporary art! 🎨

Pricing

Our youth project pricing is designed to be accessible and transparent for community organisations and groups. Prices typically range between €25 and €50 per person, depending on the scale of the mural, the number of participants, and the duration of the event. 💰

We believe in total flexibility, which is why we offer no upfront payments – you only pay after the workshop is complete and everyone is happy. Whether you have a tiny budget for a one-off session or a larger grant for a city-wide initiative, we can make it work.
